hi! can i ask you how you juggle art with school and all, considering it's sg HAHA and tbh i find it so hard to prioritise art and i wish i had more time for it since i don't take anything in school that requires me to do art. also, what is art school like in sg?

Back when I wasn’t studying art; it was a matter of just drawing whenever I had the chance to? Be it during lectures or classes, free time in between class, at home before bed, committing weekends to drawing albeit not having a social life. In my opinion, if you are passionate enough for something you MAKE time for it?? I’m the kind of person who can’t go like a week without drawing at least something haha so my notes are always filled w scribbles ;3c ;;

Art school has it’s ups and downs, I feel it’s a good place to expose yourself to the art’s scene, locally and internationally. It broadens your perspective of art in general where you’d delve into art history, art philosophy, art movements and art experimentation/exploration. If you’re serious about the practice and use your time wisely, I think it will benefit you the most? Though I’m still a bit biased towards Polytechnics in a more sound education route; Fine Arts still taught me a lot, be it self discovery or the exposure to art itself?

Environment-wise it’s cool yanno? To be surrounded by like minded peers and drawing/painting w them but the general mindset a few of the NAFA kids are abit frustrating in a sense where there are alot of headstrong/ stubborn/ think their views are the best/complacent/ self entitled students. But there are a handful that are all out and passionate which is heart warming to see!! ( does this answer ur question??? )Β
