What Is and What Could Have Been

Jokes,wank and emotions aside, Heaven is now clear of Chuck, there’s no apocalyptic wars being puppeteered by a megalomaniac, and as Bobby puts it, “time is different” up there. A long drive for Dean is a lifetime for Sam on earth. Everyone he ever loved and cherished is just having a long afternoon in heaven, and once Sam gets there, they can both reunite with their loved ones again. Mom, Dad, Cas, Roadhouse gang, etc. By the time Sam gets back to heaven, it’s only a couple of heavenly minutes till Eileen (because we can almost bet it was her?), follows after Sam. And by that notion, anyone who was close to his age group as well! So Donna and Joddy are probably up there as well if they made it to old age. Dean--for the first time in his life-- has nothing to rush or worry about! Everyone can wait until the one person he always made an entrance with shows up to follow suit--Sam.

It’s not a trash ending, it’s just a rushed ending that’s been severely undercut (cast numbers-wise) by the pandemic. In a virus-free world, Jared and Jensen would have been joined by an epic cast, old and new, dead and alive characters. The retrospect would have been about 25 mins long, the episode itself an hour++, and the cheesy tearful studio goodbye somewhere around 5-7 mins long, with multiple cast and crew talking into a mic being passed around the bunker’s main room.

Thankfully, we still have our lives and health unlike many families do right now. Thankfully our Cast and Crew are safe as far as we know, and you know what? We can always make fanart of the heavenly reunion that could have been. With the boys already being signed up for new projects, the ending couldn’t have been delayed any longer, and thus we are here. 15 years...WHAT A RUN!

like they really killed off half of their biggest ship on the show seconds after he confesses his love for another man, then they kill off the other half (the greatest hunter in the world) with a rusty nail to the back, and then don’t even let them reconnect in heaven when it is verbally confirmed that the first half is still around and kicking in the afterlife

I wish people stopped spamming Sam's tag to complain about Castiel and ships.

Actors mentioned over and over during the past weeks that 15x18 was his last episode. Everyone know the actors that were filming the finaled and those who weren't. I also agree that Castiel ending was disappointing at best.

But people don't go to Sam's tag looking for other characters post.

THIS^ we ALL got a rushed half assed finale because of the corona pandemic. It’s no reason to go ruining the happy moments for other ships/characters. We have our own blogs to pour our feelings into. Keep the tags clean and respectful, thanks.
