reading charles dickens' a tale of two cities has me reconsidering if i ever knew the english language at all.
i made the revisions needed from the consultation the other day for my part in our research paper. i was anxious about it but i powered thru and in just under 30 mins, i finished it.
lastly, we discussed the fundraising details just before noon too. there's more planning to be done.
i'll be relaxing for the rest of the day. if you can call me yelling about this book and frantically looking up definitions relaxing.

i'm loving every second of my christmas break!
i have only purchased two books so far (the song of achilles and ninth house). my cousin and i are borrowing each others books so the other doesn't have to spend more money so i have they both die at the end right now while they have tsoa.
reading ninth house in the car was kinda wack but it was raining so the vibes were immaculate *chefs kiss*
also yes that spread on my journal is me looking at ask games and using it like journal prompts last night at like... 2 am. it was fun! my cursive is rlly messy though.

This is what hozier meant when he says he falls a little bit in love everyday with someone new

I once watched a girl in the produce aisle pick up a bushel of bananas that were precariously perched on the edge and move them farther back and under her breath she said “there you go sweeties - that will be more comfortable” before shuffling off and… I think about her often.

« Silent lovers » is such a sweet way to put it.

I was driving on the highway and passed a dude absolutely JAMMING alone in his car, doing those little half dance moves you do when you’re stuck sitting down in a small space, bellowing unheard lyrics at the top of his lungs, and my instant reaction was to think “I love you.” And then to pray he had a good day, or whatever, because those fleeting moments of connection are so incredible.

has anyone else noticed how bucky‘s ,death‘ falling from the train in Captain America: The First Avenger is a direct parallel to patroclus‘ death? bucky takes on his most beloved‘s armour, his shield, and dies. and his death then in turn is the catalyst for steve‘s character development from ,i don’t want to kill anyone‘ to becoming the first avenger. it’s the same as achilles‘ rage after he had originally decided to stop fighting the trojan war. bucky and steve are the 20th century patroclus and achilles.
