When I was a small boy, having seen Spock raise one eyebrow, I would stand in front of a bathroom mirror working out how to raise each eyebrow in turn, for hour after hour. So yes. Mad pirate look mostly happens in the eyebrows.

OMG, so my husband says the same thing! he practiced when he was a kid for ages because he wanted to be like Spock. I love that there are these little things all children share across counties and sometimes for generations even.

#The US media equivalent of pretending a pen is the sonic skrewdriver I suppose.#or hiding behind the couch#i didn't grow up with Western media so I don't have those sort of relatable moments with a lot of people#little Ofim doodling in 11th century exactly the sort of things my kid still doodles#something so deeply comforting about that idk
