Major campaign update—Mohammed Hijazi

We made a post for Mohammed about half a year ago. He was displaced southward from his home in Gaza City with his elderly parents by IOF assault. He and his parents are currently living in a tent in Rafah, where they are exposed to extreme heat, hunger, malnutrition, dehydration, and a lack of medical care.

Mohammed’s father suffered a serious neck injury from the occupation, and is now in a very difficult condition. Since we last spoke, his father’s condition has deteriorated severely. His condition is so bad that he is in need of an emergency surgery to save his life.

The only thing holding up the surgery is the cost. Mohammed has had a campaign open for more than 8 months, but progress has been slow.

Mohammed’s father deserves to live, and Mohammed and his family deserve to not have to watch their loved one slowly die.

Previously, Mohammed was trying to raise funds to evacuate his family so that they can receive the care and stability they need. Right now, funds will go toward Mohammed’s father’s surgery. Further funds will be used for survival and to arrange evacuation into Egypt when the border reopens.

every time I was displaced to another place I prayed that this would be the last, but then came the idea of ​​​​forced exit to search for safety where there is no safety, we got very tired and our bodies were exhausted, we no longer had the energy to continue, we lived hunger, thirst, cold and all the difficult conditions that humans cannot imagine,

we did not imagine that a day would come when we would live all of this, I lost my family and my childhood home, even my friends are no longer there, I was left alone!! I am looking for salvation from death, I fear death and I dread it, the idea is terrifying to leave your dreams, ambitions and the life you planned for and go from this world, we do not deny death but we do not want to live it now,

I had a beautiful life, suddenly I do not know how I lost my life, we live in a tent that can only accommodate 3 people, made of nylon that no human can bear, just standing in it for more than two minutes during the day is enough to melt you, in addition to insects, diseases and lack of privacy, imagine all this!! Can you live??

In addition, my father had a stroke due to the loss, and my mother also needs care due to chronic diseases and the lack of treatment, and her condition is getting worse. I am the only one who takes care of them. I really fear loss and I do not want to lose, as I lost a large part of my family, my home, my work, and my entire previous life.

Things here are more difficult than you imagined, reality is painful

We wake up every day to the smell of death, I have been surrounded by tanks and helicopters more than 4 times, each time I do not know how to survive? It seems that my death has not come yet

Hello, I am Jawad, I am 60 years old, and I live in Gaza with my family consisting of 7 members, Moamen, 24 years old, Karam, 22 years old, Reham, 25 years old, and Shahad, 18 years old. She should have finished high school and be in university this year, but the war has come.

It destroyed her future. Shahad is a girl who is talented in drawing and has many drawings. We live in harsh conditions in the middle of a fierce war that completely destroyed our lives.

We were bombed more than once and miraculously escaped death. I suffer from chronic heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure, but I have always been the sole breadwinner for my family. I need constant catheterizations to maintain my health. Our situation got worse with the arrival of winter. We now live in a torn tent that does not protect against the cold, and we do not have any means to protect against the harsh winter. We have to make fire to cook food, and there is no privacy or comfort where we live. The conditions are unbearable, and we have nothing to help us survive in these harsh conditions. In addition, our 7-storey house was bombed and completely destroyed, leaving us homeless and unsafe. Despite my critical health condition, I still have to bear the responsibility of supporting my family and meeting their needs. I need your help.
