Hey, so I restructured my Patreon.

All I actually want is people to see my art, and that's just not happening right now, so... Completely restructuring. There's only one (and a half) tier now. It's $2. That's it. No bonus content for higher paying members. The only other tier available is an "eroguro permit" that lets you see the gore content, so all you have to do is select the basic pass if you don't want to see that stuff.

This single tier still includes Discord access and the ability to see all my WIPs, etc. So now, for a mere $2, you can see shit like this!

And many more! And this is partially to encourage me to actually make content, because I'm ridiculously sad and all I want is eyes on my work.

You can find this shit at my Patreon.

I relate to Chilchuck Tims as a grown-ass man who is regularly mistaken for a high schooler and/or my partner’s son from a previous marriage.

Does being an aegosexual make you a voyeur in theory rather than in practice? 🤔

Lol I think this works

The idea of being a voyeur is usually pretty unappealing to me, but this tracks

I wanna talk about how Dungeon Meshi is my new favorite anime because it shares many traits with my other favorite anime, Made in Abyss, without the soul crushing misery and pee content.

Like Made in Abyss, DunMeshi has a large focus on the wild joy of discovery, the thrill of danger, the fear of the unknown, and the temptation of looking under rocks to see how much you can learn. Both worlds have amazing lore and mystery, and traversal that can only go downwards in the long run, with a depth no one has ever seen before. Both have monsters that adventurers only really have a surface level understanding of, and we learn more about them as we go.

Laios and Riiko are the same person in my head (although Laios gets a 50% boost to Autism). Both are blissfully in love with the mystery of the dungeon/abyss. Both are hell bent on reaching as far as they can to get back someone they love, even if there’s no guarantee of survival. And both have an unquenchable joy in their adventure no matter where it goes.

Both series also have a focus on cooking monsters and ingredients found in the dungeon/abyss, which is actually a pretty unique mechanic. And even if we don’t recognize a lot of what they use, we still get a good idea of what it might taste like. I think DunMeshi does this better but then again, it IS the main core of the series.

And everything in the dungeon/abyss has the ability to hurt you. You will face the threat of death around every corner. But…

Made in Abyss character dies: NO GOD WHY why would you DO THIS TO HER I am SCREAMING AND CRYIBG AND THROWING UP she deserved SO MUCH BETTER

Dungeon Meshi character dies: Oh no! … eh they’ll be fine, walk it off

Changing my belief system from "this is the hill I'll die on" to "this is the hill I'll kill you on" has done absolute wonders for me 10/10 do recommend

"you really gonna die on that hill?"

"someone is."

You don’t understand. The hill is the bodies of the nonbelievers. And now you will make it bigger.

● Banning media that you believe is immoral is still censorship.

● Banning media that you believe might harm someone's morals is still censorship.

● Banning media that you believe will cause someone to commit an evil act is still censorship.

● Banning media that you feel is disgusting is still censorship.

● Banning media that you think will teach children something bad is still censorship.

What do you think conservatives are doing when they ban queer media???

When conservatives ban queer media, they are banning:

  • media they believe is disgusting.
  • media they believe will cause moral harm.
  • media they believe will cause someone to commit an evil act.
  • media that they believe will teach children something bad
  • media that they believe is immoral.

Ah see it’s different, because someone forcing their beliefs on me is oppression, and me forcing my beliefs on someone is liberating and good and moral. Hope this helps!

Being broke and buying clothes gives you such a weird sense of self. Hold on let me explain

I have staff t-shirts for multiple events I’ve never been to. I have shirts for video games I’ve never played because they happened to be on clearance. I have shirts with weird designs and people ask “what’s that from?” And I’m just like “I don’t know, but it was $5 and I thought it looked neat”. My wardrobe is 99% graphic tees and many of them don’t necessarily represent me. Love your Street Fighter shirt! Thanks I’ve never played Street Fighter in my life

[Video Description: a tiktok by @/devilishbri, showing a person playing Supermassive Black Hole by Muse on a black and white bass guitar with stickers on the body. They have dark skin, long black curly hair with straight bangs in two big pigtails, and are wearing a neon pink suspender skirt with two bands across the chest over top a black shirt, along with a matching neon pink cardigan. As they play, they are moving along to the music. End VD]

People used to comment on web comics.

People used to comment on fanfiction.

People used to comment on fanart.

People used to comment on OCs.

I hate "content" culture.

I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.

People used to be excited about the art that other people created.

People used to want to share that excitement with creators.

I hate this future.

Once someone tagged art that I made with "woah" and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said "oh neat" once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don't even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I'd probably cry from joy.

I'm also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it's hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.

I honestly hadn't stopped to think about this until I saw this post... I used to think people would get annoyed if they were notified everytime someone posted a comment on their art. I never thought about it being like fanfiction and that they might appreciate comments. Frick, that means I'm part of the problem on here. Thats gotta change.

Every tag, every comment, every reblog with some kind of reaction/opinion or even just one word. All of these things are precious to creators!

I spent countless hours reading and rereading tags full of love people left under my art. All the people i could gift a laugh to or even inspire with something I made mean more to me then you could ever know.

It's what makes me proud of my art!

And to think that you could have enjoyed my art in silence and I would have never known.
