Thank you! Everything the cast have said is true. He is truly the sweetest person I’ve ever met and it’s mind blowing thinking about how he transforms himself when he is in front of the camera as Aemond.

I hope he has the opportunity to visit more places in the future, including from wherever you are cuz he definitely cares about his fans. 💚✨

In my mind I was going to explain it was Vhagar, but I didn’t even need to say anything cuz it was the first thing he said when he saw it lol then he began to tell me he loved all the little details and then asked what did I use to make it and how long it took me. I quickly explained my process and the hours it took me and that was when he called me a legend and hugged me. But I swear I will never forget the smile he had and the face of surprise when he saw it and instantly exclaimed Vhagar! 🥹

His manager was also saying she loved the little details it had, especially at the bottom. The funny part was that when I told them I have three bigger ones (Dany’s eggs), his manager told me laughing I should sell them but I told her I didn’t want any kind of trouble with HBO lol. When we said goodbye I saw him playing with it, throwing it just a liiitle bit into the air and catching it.

About your last question, I couldn’t see anything because I was behind them so all I could see was their back lol. Also the audio wasn’t great and with all the screaming I couldn’t hear anything. I thought everything was going well because all their managers and their team were behind them and they were smiling. I already saw the interview on YouTube and I think the whole thing was messy and cringe, the questions weren’t that interesting, that guy saying Mexican women would love to keep him in their homes… So as a whole, that was a mess. Minutes later I saw him in the thunder stage and he was relaxed, so I don’t think there was a problem after that. What I think is that he is way more calm when you are talking alone with him and that’s the real Ewan. He does an incredible job on stage, but we shouldn’t get fool, he has a reserved personality.

About the rest of your ask, have in mind that I’m again talking based on what I experienced, I would say he truly loves saying hi to the fans. We have to consider that we are talking about the same guy that takes the time to send little messages to his fans when he receives fan mail.

The first time I saw him I was working and he was doing press, so the two times I talked with him were brief and it was just a kinda random talk lol it was when he told me he needed a hat for the sun. That day I mostly saw him work while I was doing my own.

The second time I met him he recognized me and smiled to me, so I said hi and it was when he made room for me to sit down at his side. We talked for a few minutes (although I felt it was for hours lol) about how different book!Aemond is to the show version and I told him I loved what he and Leo did with the character and they were the reason Aemond was my favorite character cuz when I read the book he wasn’t my fav. He simply smiled and thanked me for what I was saying. I told him I had a fanart and that it would mean the world to me if he could signed it and he took the time to admired it before doing it and see the details.

But I think what I will treasure the most (apart from having one of my Aemond designs autographed) will be when I gave him the dragon egg I made for him. I explained to him that I’m a dragon fan since I was little and that back during got s1 I couldn’t find the dragon eggs to buy them, so I made them. While I was saying all of that he was attentively looking at me and listening, so when I started to taking the egg out of my purse he started to realize what I was gonna give him and had a huge smile when he saw the little green egg and simply excitedly exclaimed “Vhagar!”. I swear he looked like a little kid with a toy, he took it and started to see all the details, asked me how long it took me and then he told me “You’re a legend!” and hugged me. I swear to god I wasn’t expecting it and almost died in that moment. His manager asked me if I wanted a picture and he quickly said yes because he wanted to show the egg, so she kindly took it, we talked for a few more minutes and then he asked me if I was going to be at ccxp, I said yes and he told me he hoped to see me there and then we said goodbye. And that was it. 🥹

I swear to god he is everything the rest of the cast have said he is: the loveliest person ever, a complete angel, super gentle, incredible thoughtful, kind, a fantastic human being… and I have just quoted Elliot Grihault, Harry Collet, Tom Glynn Carney and Fabien Frankel only.

So tl;dr, if you ask me, no, he didn’t do it just to be polite, he truly cares and enjoys saying hi to his fans. He truly listen to what we say and takes him time with us. What it is import here is to ALWAYS respect him, his privacy, his boundaries and not be invasive. He is open to meet us, make sure we aren’t nervous, listen to what we wanna say, tell us that everything’s ok… but let’s not forget that at the end, he is also a human being as any of us and he does has a reserved personality.

PS. BTW, I just wanna add something else. When I was literally admiring my design with his autograph and saying it would have a pretty frame, both, his manager and him, said “aaw” lol 🥹

Hello! I’ve just read about your experience and I am glad things weren’t chaotic for Ewan and Tom and they enjoyed their time there. But if I am being honest the only stuff I find weird was the fan staying exactly at the same hotel and by pure coincidence as she said. A friend told me that hotel is famously known for having celebrities and I found fishy she magically appeared at the hotel they were 1/2

Hi, whoever you are, nonnie! First of all, I can only speak for myself and what was my experience. I didn't really know about these concerns until I read a post here few hours ago and like I've said in that post, everything was in control, the fans that showed up were respectful towards Ewan all the time and he was kind with everyone and really welcoming. Same thing with Tom.

In my case, I saw Ewan twice and both times he was the sweetest person I've ever met (now I understand all the cast saying he is kind, an angel, etc. lol). The second time he recognized me and waved me first, so that was the moment I came close to him and he made room for me to sit with him and we talked for a few minutes (about book!Aemond and what he and Leo Ashton did with the character, for example and let's stop there because that's not the point). Both times it wasn't me the one that asked for a picture first, in the first one he was the one that asked me if I wanted a picture because I was nervous and I only said "I only wanted to let you know that I'm a huge fan" and was close to faint lol and the second one, after her manager asked me, he instantly said yes and wanted to include the dragon egg I gave him. So again, talking from my experience, he really loves his fans and makes us feel welcome.

Your friend is absolutely right about what he or she said about the hotel and to be honest, the garden it has in the center of the building is quite famous and the whole place is quite recognizable (also the huge tower you can see from there, seeing those two things is basically confirming where you are). I know about who you are talking about, I don't know her personally but I think I saw her at the omelete stage. I said I think because she didn't show her face in her photos, which is totally okay if she doesn't want to, and I think she was with her mom maybe? If it was indeed her. Did I like what she said? No, I didn’t. Did everything was planned or was it a coincidence? We all will have an opinion but the only person that has the answer is her. I just truly hope she respected their boundaries and privacy and didn’t take pictures all the time.

But again, the hotel would have done something if it had been necessary and pretty sure any other fan wouldn't have entered the building anymore and agaaaain, neither Ewan or Tom were rude or seemed annoyed towards any fan in any moment, both were welcoming with all of us all the time, so... everything was fine, nonnie. Pretty sure Ewan and Tom went back to London happy with all the love they received here.

Hope this helps you to have a bit more context about how things were going here with those two lovely men. ♥

Saw your post about CCXP in Mexico and let me tell you that although it was messy it could have been worse. lol I attend CCXP in Brazil every year, and there was one year that was so messy, that I had a huge argument with the organizers aka Omelete. (My friend and I wanted to see Neil Patrick Harris, and the rule was that once the stage was full, you could only enter when more people left the auditorium. And even after seeing several people leaving, they weren't letting anyone else in. And when we finally managed to get in, after much discussion, we saw that there were several empty seats.)

But every year they seem to be improving the organization. And even with some problems here and there, in my opinion, I think it's much better than the San Diego version.

Welp I suppose it happens everywhere. I don't know if there was a problem like that here because the thunder stage had the same rule that you mention. I don't think I've heard or read any case like that and to he honest, the only panel I wanted to see there was the one with the HOTD cast lol at least that one was great and 100% full, no empty seats.

Hope they improve here too, as a whole I think it is a great project but they made me angry too many times lol.

My humble opinion about CCXP Mexico panels.

I was there in both stages and… yeah, it wasn’t great.

(First of all, english isn’t my first language so if there’s a mistake at least I hope you all understand what I’m saying lol)

Thunder stage was quite good honestly, the host and the questions were good and the cast were having fun. Ewan was quite comfortable and I saw him more relaxed than in Brazil. The only thing I wish it was different was that the exclusive material was only a bts and not a new trailer.

Omelete stage? Well… I wish I have gone to the Thunder stage before and have a better view for the panel instead of being there. I couldn’t hear anything, the audio wasn’t good and with all the screaming it was almost impossible for me to understand anything. I was behind the cast so I didn’t see their faces either and I couldn’t say if they were uncomfortable or Ewan at least. Their team (managers I think? People from HBO latam too I think) was sitting just behind them and they were smiling so I thought everything was going well. Now that I have seen the interview in YouTube, I’m glad I didn’t understand a damn thing because that was a really cringe interview. The hosts took all the time with their super long questions, even the girl from Brazil asked what I feel it was almost the same as something she asked in December, the comment about Mexican girls wanting to keep Ewan in their homes or whatever the hell that guy said… Maybe the only question I liked was the one about Succession and that was it.

But again, I feel the event in general has a lot of things to fix if they want to continue organizing this here.

First of all, they announced five days before the whole thing they were coming (and tbh I was following the official pages because I suspected there was a chance for them to come and by the time they announced it I was thinking I was wrong) so a lot of people that don’t live here in Mexico City didn’t have enough time or money to come. In that announcement they said their panels were during the last day, Sunday, which was quite strange if you ask me, but all of us that had the chance to go bought a ticket. Two days after this, they announced they were gonna have limited photo ops on Friday, so we were all frustrated because it was a different day than the panels. But okay, some of us bought a second ticket for that day. I’m not gonna lie guys, two or three hours after the announcement they erased the post about the photo ops without saying a damn thing! I was trying to organize that day because of my work so I went back to the post on Instagram (it was a gallery) and their post about the HOTD photo ops announcement was gone! Not a single word, just gone. I kept asking what was happening and they never answered and I wasn’t the only one. They even hide comments asking them to say something, that if it was cancelled it was okay, but we only wanted some clarification to know what was happening because in my case, for example, I was planning the whole day after asking for a special permission to my boss (she is a lovely person so I didn’t have any problem at all thank god). Even the people in the damn place didn’t know anything about those photo ops that were free but limited when I asked them in person on Thursday and, in that moment, I knew it was going to be a mess. The thing is they never answered and since they didn’t say anything, I chose not going on Friday and basically the money I used for that day was thrown away. At the end, I know the photo ops were yesterday and the winners were chosen during a contest or something like that and it was right before the Omelete stage panel.

But talking about the whole event, all the international guests were announced on April, one month before the event and they began promoting this since January I think. Only Giancarlo Esposito was announced mid February, so again, we didn’t know if it was gonna be a good quality event or not and we were suspicious so a lot of us chose to wait and see who were coming. I think the last announcement were Eve, Ewan, Tom and Steve days before the beginning of the event. Also, some of the international guest had normal photo ops, buying ticket and all, but the prices were announced two days before the event… How could it be possible that hours before the beginning of the convention no one knew anything about this? Everyone was buying their tickets hours before the event, guys.

I don’t know, if you ask me, the whole event was messy since the very beginning. I know it was the first CCXP here in Mexico but it could have been better…

Finally, about the HOTD cast I just wanna say that they were quite happy even with this whole mess. Ewan was super nice with the fans he met, Tom too, about Eve and Steve I don’t know if someone saw them, but again, Tom and Ewan were super nice with the fans. I was fortunate to meet them on Friday when I was working in the same place they were shooting press and Ewan was super nice and lovely when we talked (we took a picture 🫰🏻) and every story I have read about fans meeting him is exactly the same: he was kind, attentive and lovely and he asked to almost all of us if we were gonna be at ccxp). During the Thunder stage panel Tom even said, and I’m quoting “I fucking love Mexico” after all of we were screaming at some point lol. Eve was super emotional with the crowd and kept saying “Viva Mexico!”, Steve and Ewan also were quite happy and excited if you ask me. Tom and Ewan were dancing with the mariachi, Steve saying “chingon” and tbh I could continue. Again, the Omelete stage was messy but I don’t think that changes the whole thing for them and it looks like they really loved their experience in Mexico. :)

Ps. I mean, look at Ewan! He even bought the Mexican jersey and it is adidas of course lol! And this is not my picture btw!
