//I thought about it and the end has a major plot hole. How in the fuck did Jack get back to the past if Ashi never existed? Cause he still got sent to the future??? I guess the future exists up until the few seconds where Jack returns to the past or something but still seems a little iffy.

At this point it wasn’t even about the potential hook up so much as his own pride and competitiveness. Had she just told him to fuck off, he might have done so, but no. She was challenging him and he just couldn’t let that go.
He grumbled to himself as he stood again and went back to the bar. “Somethin’ stronger my– I’ll get you somethin’ stronger…” He antagonized the bartender for two of his strongest shots and returned to the table.
He knocked his back with a hiss before continuing with the aggressive small talk. “A’ight, Ikra, so where you from?”
“The Pit of Hate.”
The truth. It was sometimes far better than any quip, or some witty response. She smirked at him. He was getting more and more angry, yet he persisted. Not only was he proving to her his complete inability to gauge others, but also himself.
She downed her own shot. At least he had gotten something slightly better this time.
“You looking to get dragged down into it?”
“I earned that treasure. It was not your decision to make to give it back to the village. I did them a service, they paid me. What problem could you possibly have with that?”
“Hah. So excitable.”
He always drew his sword when startled. One of the things she liked about him. How ready he was for a fight. It was no surprise, after all, his life had mostly been spent preparing for one.
“No need for that, can’t an old friend just drop in for a hello?”

“Heh. Grew up close to our Lord? But who hasn’t girl? His face is everywhere. What makes you so special?”
He liked sass, but this was just condescending. Still, he also liked a challenge.
“Oh, I’ll get you a damn drink…”
He bullied the bartender out of his way and poured two shots of whisky. One was slid over to Ikra and the other was drank immediately.
“So what’s yo’ name?”
“Ikra.”
At least he proved good for something. His intimidation of the bartender was hardly impressive. He reminded her of a school yard bully. But he’d gotten the drink so she’d allow him to continue his little futile pursuit.
She downed the drink with ease, and then tossed the glass to the side.
“Couldn’t you have gotten anything stronger? You continue to fail to impress.”
