i just want you to know that, as a future history teacher, i appreciate the comments you added into your assignment very, very much. you’d get an A if i was the prof. have a great day!

Lmao I’m just hoping my History teacher appreciates my shenanigans

I toned it down like A LOT because I really want a good grade but he’s like a really good historian so I think if he actually reads it he’ll get a kick out of it.

For the section on King James I went off about how much he loved his boyfriend and how I was pissed the text didn’t mention it or like Hamilton’s relations to anyone but Jefferson.

Hamilton’s name was literally not even mentioned UNTIL his financial program.

LIKE THE FEDERALIST PAPERS wERE APPARENTLY WRITTEN BY MADISON AND TWO OTHERS?

I honestly don’t believe my professor is going to read these text notes thoroughly because he has so many to go through. So I keep putting in little things here and there that aren’t in the book. Like when Steuben was introduced I put “A gay ex prussian military officer” and then at trenton hamilton wasn’t mentioned so i was like “hamilton this really badass nineteen year old stole some cannons” and at valley forge wrote in “this is where hamilton figured out he was intensely bisexual”

So i can’t wait for my grade next week

The Washington-Jefferson-Hamilton fishing trip for @iafayettes

… I go on a sailing party of three or four days with the President [and Alexander Hamilton]. I am in hopes of being relieved entirely by the sickness I shall probably encounter … Should we meet sea enough to make me sick I shall hope it will carry off the remains of my headache.”

Since childhood I’ve been faithful to monsters. I’ve been saved and absolved by them because monsters are the patron saints of our blissful imperfections.
