Light Before My Eyes
It was at that moment that my life flashed before my eyes.
“Are you sure you want me to do this?”
“Yes.”
“Okay. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. This is what must be done.”
*BANG!
The body fell. The gun man, ran, horrified by what he had done. There was a restaurant near by. He goes in.
Eli took his wife, Yeonsoo, and their one year old son, Minsoo, out for dinner before he had to go to the Arirang building for Simply Kpop. Someone ran inside, in hysterics, quickly recognizing Eli.
“Eli! Eli!”
Eli shot up. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Si Y-, I mean Jaeseop”
“What’s wrong with him?”
The man pulled Eli away while throwing some money on the table. “Hey, wait!”
The man dragged Eli to where the other was, although he was in a pool of blood, surrounded by people.
“Oh my god!”
Eli ran to the body belonging to Si Yoon aka AJ aka Jaeseop, his former member and close friend. The man who dragged Eli out told the news.
“I shot him!” cried the man, before breaking down into tears.
“You what!?” Eli bent down, trying to locate the entry wound. The injury was to Si Yoon’s right shoulder but there was too much blood. Eli took off his outer shirt and wrapped the shoulder in attempt to stop the bleeding. Eli now held an almost lifeless, bloodied boy in his arms.
“Hey, hey. It’s me, wake up.” Eli jerked the body. Si Yoon was in a shock and could barely lift his head.
“Huh?”, replied Si Yoon, with a rough, raspy voice. It hurt to talk.
“Stay with me, I’m getting you to the hospital.”
“Wait, wh-” , Si Yoon coughed.
Yeonsoo came from the restaurant to look for her husband, Minsoo in arms. She was also horrified by the amount of blood.
“Oh my god, honey!”
“Honey, get the car.”
Yeonsoo safely put Minsoo into his car seat and then helped load the body of Si Yoon into the backseat of the car. She tried her best to keep the man alive while Eli steered towards the hospital.
“You’re going to be just fine, just stay with us.”
“No”, he whispered
Fearing that he had no time to park, Eli pulled right in front of the doors to the emergency department and quickly carried Si Yoon into the lobby, telling Yeonsoo to park the car.
“Help! Help! My friend’s been shot!”
Hospital staff ran like ants to a piece of food on the ground. Si Yoon was quickly stripped and placed onto a gurney. A nurse cried
“There’s no exit wound! We have to move! Stay here, we’ll take care of him.”
Eli nodded and the staff hurried away. He leaned against the wall to calm down from his high and try to make sense of what just happened. Yeonsoo ran in with Minsoo.
“Honey.”
“Oh my god, I don’t know what to do”
“Call your members. I know you guys are fighting but he could be in danger. “
“Right.”
Eli pulled away. He first called Soohyun and Kiseop, Hoon and Jun, Kevin, Dongho, Alexander, and Kibum.
“Hey, it’s me. I’m at the hospital. Jaeseop’s hurt.”
SH: “What happened?”
“Someone shot him, wife and I got to the hospital as fast as we could with Minsoo in the backseat.”
SH: “On our way.”
One by one, all the members showed up to the hospital. Kibum was the last to show up but it was just in time. The doctor came out.
“Kim Si-”
“Over here. How is he?”
“Well, he’s going to be fine physically. But mentally would be a different story. Why don’t you come with me to his room?”
All nine nodded. Yeonsoo said she’d stay outside, due to Minsoo being fussy. She sat down to tend to her son while everyone else followed the doctor. They arrived at his room.
“Mr. Kim, you have quite the full house here.”
Si Yoon turned his head. He barely made contact. Soohyun ran to him and cuddled his head.
“What happened? Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
“Not when I just pulled you out of a pool of your own blood a few minutes ago”
“But why did you?”
“What do you mean why? Someone came and got me. I saw that it was you, what was I supposed to do? Leave you like that?”
“Yes! God, that idiot.”
Kiseop had a face of concern. He sat down on the bed. “But why?”
“I’ve caused too much trouble. A fan said that they’d rather be shot than ever have anything to do with me”
“So you took them literally?!” Kevin cried
“I’ve done enough trouble to you and the fans, it was killing me. They were never satisfied.”
“So you hired someone to kill you?! Are you crazy?!”
“I tried to start new and fresh, I wanted you to be without me. The thought of leaving you killed me but if I tried to do anything like apologize, fans wouldn’t believe me. They hate me so much, they want me gone completely. I was fulfilling their wishes.”
“Did you not think of how we would feel about this first?”
“You guys are fine without me. All i did was cause tension, I had to.”
Soohyun broke down in tears. “You’re such an idiot.”
“Hyung”
“You know what happens to me. I cannot have any more people be taken away from me, what’s wrong with you!?”
“Hyung, -”
“NO! Why didn’t just say something? It doesn’t matter if something is wrong, if you have these thoughts, you should’ve called, we’d listen!”
A nurse walked in. “Sorry, but Mr. Kim, you have other guests.
U-KISS members huddled around Si Yoon like the mob protecting their leader.
“Who are they?”
“We’re Jaeseop’s roommates”
“Roommates? Columbia?”
“Yep”
“So why are you in Korea?”
“Jaeseop said he had something to do. We’re on a study abroad trip. He said he had to meet with a contact. Then the contact called us”
“So you knew about this? Why didn’t you stop him?” Alexander’s demeanor changed.
“Whoa whoa, back up, Justin Beiber. We’re not that close to him. We didn’t know he would do this. Not since we saw his arms....”
Kevin shot up. “What about his arms?”
“We found him cutting his wrists in the dorms, we stopped him though.”
“What?!”
Eli reached over the bed railing, he pulled up an arm. Sure enough, there slits coming from his elbow and down to his wrist. “Oh my god”
“Jaeseop!”
“We always thought he was a little sad but since we’re still in school, we couldn’t give him legit therapy.”
Eli was fuming. He lunged straight forward but Jaeseop mustered the strength to grab Eli’s arm and hold him back. “Don’t!”
“And why shouldn’t I?”
“I’m fine now, I promise. Look, I didn’t think you’d guys would find out. Let alone the guy who shot me finding Eli right after it happened.”
“Um excuse you, our sunbae is sitting in a freaking hospital, attached to a heart monitor, how do you think we feel?” Eli asked.
“Oh Jaeseop, the doc had a translator, he said you can go home tomorrow.
“Oh, I don’t think so.”, said Soohyun, placing a protective arm around Si Yoon
“Hyung, please”
“No. You took care of us, now it’s our turn. Look, nice try. But he’s ours.”
“You can’t own a person!”
“He took care of us when we first came out into the kpop industry, which you know nothing about. Nurse! He’s to go home with one of us tomorrow and I want these guys out.”
“Well, okay. Security!”

She’s a family friend of mine from my hometown and she’s been missing apparently since Sunday. Her family and mine have known each other for years, she basically helped changed my diapers. TMI, I know but now I’m worried so please. I know I don’t have a large following but if you live around the area she went missing from, please help in her search or at least get the word out about her. Thank you and I’m sorry for this link
