The Federation of Anarchism Era in Iran and Afghanistan is accepting donations to help activists escape Afghanistan. The country is likely to fall to the Taliban within the next few days and they won’t show any mercy to activists fighting for freedom there, so please help out if you can.

The Taliban has taken Kabul; the activists mentioned above were not able to get away in time and are unable to receive any money.

This is a reputable organization that has members on the ground in Kabul. They are trying to get the money that has been donated to the activists within Afghanistan, but the banks have been shut down today (August 16). Consider following their twitter @asranarshism and other grassroots organizations to get the truthful news about what is happening in Afghanistan.

anyway the lesson this pandemic should have taught people is that housing, healthcare, food, and utilities should all be unconditionally free

hi! landlords don’t provide housing, they hoard it. there are enough empty homes in this country to house everyone who needs it. enough perfectly edible unsold food is thrown away at grocery stores every single day to feed every hungry person in this country. taxpayer-funded, socialized healthcare has been proven to be the cheapest public health option in theory and in practice over and over again, worldwide. I don’t even know where to start with utilities other than to say that the entire structure for how electicity and water are supplied in this country is exploitative from the ground up. things people need to survive should not have a price at the individual level. even if none of that were true, I think you’ll find the word everyone is, in its most literal sense, quite inclusive. if everyone is provided for, then that by definition includes those providing the services

Get a pet that fits your needs. Don’t get a pet then try to force it to fit your lifestyle. Just because you saw a person walking a rabbit once doesn’t mean you can expect a rabbit to just be a dog. Just get a dog!
