okay so we see how worried rick is in this scene
and for the first time he feels really guilty and tries to drink it down
like this time he knew he really fucked up
and showing concern for morty when hes on crutches.
and when morty gets injured again and snaps his leg its rick carrying him to the hospital again in his arms. just imagine Rick seeing Morty break his leg in the garage, rush to his aid, pick him up and just hurrying as fast as he can to the hospital. I know this is dimension C-132 but C-137 & C-132 Rick and very very similar. Remember when C-137 Mory broke his legs and Rick couldn’t give two shits? He just casually walked through a portal to get a serum to heal Morty’s legs. But no, this time Rick was so caught up in his guilt from the arm and leg accident from the ship he couldn’t think straight. He just grabbed Morty and brought him to the hospital instead in a worry.
And see here? This time he’s not drowning out his guilt and drinking from his flask. It actually hurts my heart.
Rick feels guilt about the entire situation and this is proof he genuinely cares for Morty.
I love how much of a deep dive this tumblr goes into our little comic series and picks out all the tiny details we slave over <3 <3 <3

Thought Bubble 2017
I will be at Thought Bubble this weekend in Leeds! Find me at Table 10 in the Comixology Marquee, I’ll be sharing with John Allison so don’t get us confused okay.
It’s a big year for Thought Bubble, the con now takes place in the middle of the city centre and I think this is a positive move towards getting more people going to it. The old site was fine, if your definition of “fine” is a venue so out of the way it was a half hour walk away from anywhere. Also hooray for it not taking place in rain drenched November.
I don’t have that much stock with me, but here’s what I’m taking.

Rick and Morty: Pocket Like You Stole It #3
Hey our third issue is out now from Oni Press! This issue kinda broke me a little a lot, I’ve mentioned my love for Jerry a bunch and there are hundreds of him in this issue, which normally would fill me with joy, but not when I’m drawing them over and over again. Wrist-pain aside it was a good issue to draw, Tini’s script has some good zings and Katy’s colours continue to be the best thing about this series, what a master of the craft she is.

It’s out of print so you are dang out of luck. First prints go for around $150 nowadays.
However Oni did reprint it for their Free Comic Book Day comic this year and you can normally pick up one on eBay for a couple of bucks. That’s probably your best bet.

Okay so it’s a 5 issue mini series and issue 2 just came out today. If you’re having trouble finding where to buy them then you can purchase some from my site http://marcellerby.bigcartel.com/ or you can purchase it digitally via comiXology. It will be collected into a book next year so you’ll be able to purchase it via Amazon or another not totally evil online bookseller. Hope that helps!

I am so pleased with my work on this mini-series, I’ve truly pushed myself to do some new things with my art and layouts and without a doubt it’s some of the best pages I’ve ever drawn. Tini’s scripts are Rick and Morty pitch-perfect and Katy’s colours are a truly amazing thing to behold, I honestly can’t believe I have someone as talented as her colouring my dumb line art.
I always get a little nervous before a big release like this, but above all else I’m just damn happy to have a Rick and Morty comic coming out where I’m not just the backup artist, or just a fill-in artist and it’s all my art.
Anyway I hope you all check it out, if you’re after signed copies I’ll hopefully have some in my shop later this week.
