Girl visits a shelter and gets adopted
Look at this big baby
This is pretty much exactly what happened when I got my first cat! The volunteer at the shelter told me to pick him up and I was dubious because, even though I’d never had a cat before, I was reasonably certain that cats didn’t like being picked up. But I did! And he put his little paws around my neck and nestled his head on my shoulder and we just walked around the shelter like that while I pretended to look at other cats, even though I think I’d made my mind up the second he snuggled me.
Poe Cat does this to me when he’s especially anxious or he missed me. When I drove with my cats to my summer job, I stopped at a rest stop and let them out of the their backseat enclosure and he immediately glued himself to me like this. Acting like he could never snuggled close enough to me. He’s my sweet baby and all he wants is to be loved and held.

Screech does this now- he was so scared when he came to us but now he will grab on and you’d better not have plans because he isn’t letting go anytime soon.
