I’m genuinely confused though so I’m calling on assistance from the fandom. Any theories on why saving people in the Scrap portion of Mink’s route leads to a bad end?  If I were to analyze it myself I’m going to assume saving them means results in Mink being perpetually stuck in the past, wondering what he could of done different, and realizing there’s nothing he could of done different so he may as well take Aoba’s soul with him. (?)

I agree with you, I think by not saving the people Aoba is showing Mink the reality of what actually happened, not staying stuck in a perpetual loop of “I could save them” when this horrible event already happened and can’t be changed. Mink needs to move on from this instead of constantly thinking about how things could have been different if they were saved. as for why he had to take Aoba’s soul, iirc he was trying to save Aoba’s soul throughout the game? I don’t know if what happened in the bad end would lead to that but like?? idk???
