I find it really important to stay in the habit of writing as much as possible, even if it's just for five minutes a day. Because when you fall out of that habit, it can be hard to pick it back up again. I had a busy week and also I was a little hungover from the Halloween fic and it just made it feel hard to get back into a story.

The good news is: open the document and write a sentence, and then another sentence, and then another one, and eventually you pick up your rhythm again. But getting that first sentence can be hard.

The Hale pack is still fractured because of Scott’s betrayal and Derek’s refusal to give his pack the nurturing it needs. Peter knows what needs to be done but Derek refuses to do it.

The alpha needs to claim the spark. Bonded, they would be able to pull the pack together and lay claim to the Nemeton for the protection of the land. Time is running out so Peter makes a decision to find a way of his own. He will not let the Hale lands fall. He will claim the boy himself and build a new Hale legacy that will not break.

Stiles gave everything for Scott's pack for two years, then they all leave him behind.

He protects Beacon Hills for sixteen years before he is forced to accept no one will be able to live through the hell mouth that is Beacon Hills, when Peter dies it's the last straw and as he lies upon the stump of the Nemeton tree he ends his life.

But fate didn't seem to get the memo ... he's alive and sixteen years back in time, to before Scott was bit and where Peter and his dad are alive.

Maybe things aren't too bad.

Are there any scenes from the series that you'd love to see alternate takes on? Like what would have happened if something had gone just a bit differently?

Somehow tumblr has lost this post twice now. Let's see if it works better from my phone than my laptop.

Keeping in mind that I will undoubtedly like any gift I receive, I tend to like large-scale changes rather than small ones, and the earlier, the better. What if Peter bit Stiles instead of Scott? What if the fire was prevented in some way? What if the entire world was different and nobody was a werewolf? Or if everyone was a werewolf? (Lol) Wholesale changes to the entire premise rather than small decisions of individuals.

I have only the faintest relationship with canon since I've consumed much more fanfic than actual Teen Wolf, so feel free to go wild. Not hugely helpful, I know, if what you're looking for is some direction, lol. Sorry! But if you're more looking for reassuance that some crazy idea you have would appeal to me, then you're good to go.

I’m so excited! It’s my favorite time of the year.

I don’t really care about Scott one way or the other. Some of my favorite fics have Bad Friend Scott McCall, and other favorites have him being the bestest clueless little buddy ever. So it’s entirely up to you which direction he goes. Or if he’s even included at all, lol.

As for background ships, the only one that bothers me even a little is the Sheriff and Melissa. I don’t know why it bugs me. It just does. Which is sad, because sometimes I like the fics where Stiles and Scott are stepbrothers except for the fact that it means the Sheriff and Melissa are together, lol. It’s not, by any means, a deal breaker, but it just always feels like “Look at these two appropriately aged, cis, hetero, humans! Why not pair them up?”

Other than that, I like any and all random pairings. Mix and match to your heart’s content! Throw everybody into a drink shaker and see what pours out.
