Hopper and Molt’s parents, as Acridomorph and I imagine them.

From left to right we have Reed, Molt, Hopper and Mottle.

Reed was designed by Acridomorph, based on the Hopper animatronic. she also did the lines of him and Hopper on this piece while I added Mottle and Molt to the mix and then colored everything

A few facts about their family:

- Mottle has lived an adventurous life, but eventually decided she wanted to settle down with someone. The lack of selection in bachelors in her vicinity did not make for a great dating pool. Changes that humans have begun to bring to the landscape are to thank for. Stubborn, she eventually goes for whoever she feels is the best out of the bunch. She essentially traps Reed into her own ideals, but he doesn’t even mind that at first. It’s free food and company.

- For a short time, Hopper and Molt are able to get along. Hopper’s patience and affection runs out when it becomes clear that molt is an annoying little dummy who not only is useless in everything he attempts to do, but actively gets in the way of whatever Hopper is trying to accomplish. Molt is dumb, optimistic to a fault. He misses the friendship they shared. It’s only ever going to get worse, unfortunately.

-Reed has lived his whole life as a solitary grasshopper, never having joined a collective to form a locust swarm, hence his green coloring and shorter wings. He’s cold, passive, unsociable, and generally a pathetic specimen to be around. Hopper eventually grows to loathe him for it. His only redeeming features are in his ability to observe, organize, and strategize within his surroundings. Hopper, ever calculating, inherits this from him. Reed pulls a magic disappearing act shortly after Mottle’s death, tired of playing family.

-Mottle is hard-headed, fierce, brutal, and takes what she wants. She’s the glue holding them all together, the pillar of the family who’s gotten them through every rough patch that’s come their way. Hopper loves her dearly, as does Molt, and they’re both devastated when she passes during their early adulthood.

- Hopper sets off to find a better use of his time rather than to rot away in what’s now basically a parking lot, leaving Molt in the empty hollow where they’d all once lived.

I really, really hate doing this but idk what else to do rn. Stuff IRL has gotten really bad financially. My dad has had an injury meaning he can't work, and he's the only one with a job rn, and no one is hiring that can fit around my life rn. My mum's also really sick with endometriosis and limited mobility, and I have two younger siblings to look after.

Just a reminder that women (and anyone honestly) who wear makeup aren't always insecure about themselves. I keep getting foundation ads, I click on the notes and it's a bunch of radfems claiming it's the pinnacle of patriarchy and how they're ruining women.

Makeup is not shameful

Makeup is not because you hate yourself

The stigma around makeup needs to chill. Let women be the ones to choose what they want to do without you claiming on their behalf that they're insecure and hate themselves. Her body, her choice.

Its important to add on as well that, yes, there are some harmful aspect to the beauty industry, such as ads that tell you your body isn't right the way it is and you need to buy their product to be attractive. That's not ok at all, and honestly the best thing to do is not buy from that company.

There are so many makeup company's that support diversity and self love while still selling makeup products, because that's what makeup is for. Self love. (Because I know sure as hell I'm not doing my face for someone else.)

You can love yourself and love makeup too guys
