Fandom Bingo: Dark Deception

Mini-bingos are back for April, with prompts from the horror game Dark Deception! I like it for the worldbuilding; if you've played McGee's Alice, the vibes are similar.

As always, this bingo is multifandom so you don't need to know the source material to participate. Some prompts are obviously on the darker side, but there shouldn't be anything overly explicit.

General Rules:

  • You can interpret the prompts any way you want. If you think it fits, then it fits. All prompts, including the quotes, can just be used as inspiration or a general fit, no need to actually include them word for word in the fanwork, and tenses and pronouns can be swapped accordingly.
  • You can write for any fandom you want, including crossovers and original works.
  • You can combine multiple prompts in one fanwork.
  • Each submitted fanwork should be new and complete, but it can be a standalone, part of a series, or one chapter of a multi-chaptered fic.
  • This bingo is primarily geared towards fanfic, but any medium is fine if you feel you can do it.
  • For fanfic, the minimum is 100 words with no maximum.
  • You can use fanworks submitted for this event for other events as well, so long as it’s okay with the other side too.
  • While signups are only open for a month, there is no time limit for completing a card.
  • This round's bingo only offers 3x3 cards. Everyone can sign up for a maximum of FOUR cards (please send in one form per card).
  • All content and ratings are allowed but please tag everything appropriately, especially if there’s trigger-warning content.
  • Please be respectful of each other. If you see content tags you don’t like, just scroll past and move on.

this is great, because as far as i know, one of the reasons cats like to knock things off counters is because it gets a large reaction from us. they don’t realize that it’s an unhappy reaction - they’ve just discovered that they can exert a unique kind of agency over their world.

imagine if you walked into a room and there was a button on the wall. you’d want to press it and see what happened. if it did something like make a beep or change the lights, most people will immediately press it again in response, testing out whether it happens again, or what the pattern is.

so the cat is like, huh, wonder what happens if i do this - and then it gets a Big Reaction! it is having a major impact on its environment! cool! wonder if it happens every time? OH IT DOES! this is fun!

and then the dog is getting treats, which dogs hella like. double enrichment! A+ video.

I love how the cat watches the dog gobble down almost a whole fistful of the shit the cat is dropping on the floor before the cat goes ‘hang on, maybe this is edible’

Can I just say that I love the little detail of Starrk not having any light in his eyes through all his appearances?

Like I just find it so interesting that despite all the tragedy in Shunsui's life he still had people that made him happy and feel alive...Starrk in contrast only had Lilynette who being his other half was technically just him so he was by himself without any light that would make him happy and want to be alive

Now that i shared this I'mma go and cry in the corner about Starrk's character as usual 😀
