Soft romance is underappreciated. Yes, take my hand and kiss it or play with my fingertips. The little looks and knowing glances shared between two lovers. The smell of their fragrance as they walk past you at home. Those are the moments that are all too easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention.

hai! so i want to do more stuff here ( and with mort in general ) but one of the main reasons that i haven’t been around is because i live in a dorm now. as a result i have to deal with dorm internet which is ATROCIOUS and absolutely hates tumblr. so, while rping on discord isn’t exactly my favorite thing, i’ve had to adapt unfortunately u-u so if you’d like to write with me on there pls add me:  they're GAZEBOS!#6273

he’s leaning back on his palms, gaze focused up towards the sky. the night is clear, glittering with stars and shining a deep blue instead of black. he can’t help but feel like it’s nicer looking at it from down here, or at least he doesn’t remember ever being so fascinated when he’d been on the other side looking down. “did the stars always look like that?” he asked, and his head turns to look at her, smile soft and genuinely curious. as Death he’d never been the most observant of entities, there was so much he’d missed until he’d come to find her it seems. “i feel like if i knew that i would have come down here a lot sooner.” he sighed, almost wistful.

   —   i  don’t  have  a  soul.         clear  DOES  keep  the  straight  face,   arms  just  crossing  over  her  chest,  head  cocked  sideways.     it’s  getting  steadily  more  awkward  the  longer  green  eyes  stare  at  his  face  before  finally,  finally  after  a  good  chunk  of  time  she  looks  away,   smile  curling  her  lips  as  she  does  so.

if he was grinning before, he absolutely beams under the weight of her stare. “she’s got jokes!” amber eyes bright at the sight of her smile, he bounces slightly where he sits. tilting his own head to rest it against his palm, he gestures with his free hand. “if you ask me, not having a soul is extremely overrated. very boring.” nose crinkling as he speaks, “like eating nothing but stale cookies for eternity.”
