Not a dream
I signed a new contract and it takes a while for it to be processed so I have been without paycheck for 47 days and I feel like Mr. Struggle
At least I have cans and crackers at home, so I am not starving, so that's good
Since my paycheck for October will arrive in December, and my November wages even later, and I've used up all my savings paying most of my bills, I've set a goal on my Ko-Fi to cover cost of living until I get paid.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated, it helps a lot. Thank you so much for making this months livable for me.

the human body is an engineering marvel. I sneeze in bright light. if I dont get enough sunlight on my skin I get tired and sad and have to drink a lot of milk to fix it. standing too much hurts, but sitting too much also hurts. if I get a virus, my body will increase its temperature in an attempt to cook it, which also cooks my brain cells. toenails exist. I have to turn the radio down to see better when I drive. there are 17 genes dictating what my hair texture is, but it completely changes when the air is too humid. yawning is contagious. there are more species of bacteria living in my body than there are species of birds in the entire world. every few months I grievously injure my neck by "sleeping on it weird." it took seven million years of human evolution to form me, and now I'm afraid of phone calls.

when an author sets up a narrative choice where all the options are scary and bad and the protagonist chooses kindness and it changes everything because it opens doors that shouldn’t be possible and every single time i go FERAL
Similarly, the slow reveal that the protagonist has been spending their life gaining favors and making friends so that in the end a bunch of groups and people who should be enemies come together to work for the greater good and end up forming more peaceful relations in the aftermath YES

There's such recency bias in fandom. As an author you post something, get a few reactions, and then it goes off into the bin. As a reader you check the tags, see what's new, and move on. But a lot of old stuff is really good. It's just sitting there, gathering dust, waiting for someone to take a peek.
