The ease with which Rapunzel and Eugene hang out on each other's beds when they're in each other's room makes me 🥰

Wait, when was Rapunzel on his bed??? I have to know, for science

In "Flynnpostor"!

Also, she's comfortable going into his room in the middle of the night, while he's sound asleep.

“He shouldn’t have cut off all her hair”

Eugene was bleeding out! Rapunzels freedom was in jeopardy!!

Her hair was the reason she was going into a hole for the rest of her life

when women have cancer they go through chemo, and lose their hair; and they’re immediately expected to wear a wig

how much danger do we have to be in for our looks to be considered last? Or not at all?

Flynn cutting off Rapunzel's hair is actually an incredible expression of love because he's getting rid of the one thing that directly caused her "mom" to abuse her and thus is truly setting her free from all that horribleness because now she no longer has the very thing itself that was causing it. That also means not even he could use it against her and is proving he loves her beyond it. The now-short length is also truly a part of this literal cutting away of the abuse-tool too, because now even it being long is gone and she no longer even has to think about it if she doesn't want to beyond basic maintenance. The length of her hair was just as much of a tool to hurt her as the magic powers, because her "mom" was using it to have her own freedom but didn't let Rapunzel use her own hair to leave. Getting rid of her hair in all the ways it was used as a tool of abuse and reducing it to something she only needs to care about if she wants to is literally the best gift he could give her.

Is it confirmed that people who worked on the show said Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship was boring? :(

What the executive producer said was that making a series about their married life would be boring, because it's just paying bills and filing taxes (or something, I don't remember the exact wording). You know, as if the princess and her husband pay bills and file taxes. I think the married man said more about his thoughts about marriage itself than he realizes when he said that.

That's probably why the series phrased marriage as an end to adventure, as being stuck in one place. Because the executive producer can conceive of married life being fun and adventurous.

One of my favorite things about the Tangled the Series is how little relationship drama between Eugene and Rapunzel makes up the plot. When they’re battling stuff, it’s threats to the kingdom not each other. Sure they have their one-off arguments, but there’s no on-again-off-again, secret keeping, or love triangles. On the whole it’s a great example of a healthy romantic long-term relationship geared towards kids and I think that’s fantastic.

Oh, I 100% agree with you about that. But the original ask was in reference to something the executive producer said towards the end of the series run, when people were talking about potential spin-offs or extensions or shorts.

While we, the audience, tend to adore their healthy, drama-light relationship (at least drama-light in terms of the relationship itself, like you said), the executive producer more than implied that he had little interest in exploring what their married life would be like, because he would think it was boring.

Because, you know, all threats to the kingdom and magical shenanigans would completely stop the moment they said, "I do."

I can guarantee you that New Dream's relationship health has nothing to do with how the executive producer would play it.

Joke’s on him I would’ve loved an episode where the subplot is just New Dream doing taxes

Best part is, New Dream doing taxes is so much bigger than the average modern person doing taxes. They're the people in power. Them doing taxes is them calculating the tax rate for the people, sending around the collectors, totaling up the amount paid, etc. They're the government, and the royal family, and they own the wealth of the kingdom. Taxes are paid to them, they don't pay taxes themselves!
