90s nu-metal guy learning about furries for the first time: no, yeah, I get it, I think. It's like what Trent Reznor was talking about in "Closer". I've kind of been thinking maybe I wanna be a girl

i must thwart their efforts, but how? her ladies attend to her like guard dogs. the lady kaerlie of house kushner, lady dyanna of house agron, lady selaena of house gomez... but perhaps this lady swyft prefers a dainty arbour gold to a hardy mead.... her songs of course hide clues, of which there are too many to consider coincidence, and i hear her lustful singing through the walls, always, she is in the walls-

can i just say that the situation with brit smith and jojo siwa is one of the funniest things to happen in pop culture in like years

for those who don’t know what happened, jojo siwa released her song called karma and made multiple references to how she wrote the song about her exes. which obviously wasn’t true, as it was found out that the song originally belonged to an artist named brit smith whose label chose not to release the song with her after she recorded her version and did a music video for it. the song was also later pitched to miley cyrus who took a pass on it but that’s not really here nor there. anyway, ppl found brit smith’s version of the song and were like, “this is actually good” and now it’s nearly at #1 on spotify iirc and brit smith is getting success over a decade after her career failed to take off the first time. if you’re thinking that this sucks for jojo, it’s fittingly very karmic because well, she is a horrible person 💀

imagine dropping such a terrible version of a previously unreleased song that the original artist not only gets their career newly launched but goes straight to the top of the pop charts like

ngl I keep forgetting that Hobby Lobby is a real store that people go to. That people actually think of it as a craft store and not as a crazy Christian mass artifact smuggler. I google "Hobby Lobby" and get a page full of results that make me go "wtf is this craft supplies and operating hours shit, I thought we all knew this place for smuggling looted cuneiform tablets out of Iraq"
