♡ Who couldn't seem to make up his mind
♡ Either bourbon, with notes of vanilla, caramel, honey, butterscotch, with hints of pear
♡ Wrapping you up in the feeling of sitting in front of an open fire
♡ After being out in the cold for hours
♡ Soothing and warm
♡ Or teakwood
♡ Spicy, bold, ginger, fresh cracked peppercorn
♡ Notes of cedarwood and patchouli
♡ Sharp scents that wake you up, energize you
♡ A breath of crisp, cool morning air, dew fresh on the grass
♡ The taste of dark roast coffee sharp on your tongue
♡ Not many people knew it, but Minhyuk took immaculate care of himself
♡ Moisturizing daily, doing his skin care routine with the utmost care
♡ Being conscientious of every single ingredient in the products he uses
♡ Which is why the royal family trusts your shop with such orders
♡ You make sure you yourself forage and select every single ingredient you use
♡ But, with changing seasons, it can be difficult to get everything you need
♡ You always make sure you have enough for the royal order though
♡ Because those orders will carry you through winter
♡ On a day off, Minhyuk decides he wants to accompany the footman
♡ On his monthly trip to your shop
♡ He wants to meet the creator of the products he and his parents adore so
♡ The footman enters first, and you run to the back to get boxes of the order
♡ When you come back with the first armful of them, Minhyuk takes them from you with a smile
♡ You flounder, looking between him and the footman, at a loss for words
♡ The footman just shrugs, offering no explanation
♡ Once the order is packed away, the footman urges Minhyuk to come back with him
♡ But he shakes his head
♡ "No! I think I'll stay and explore, if that's okay?"
♡ Looking to you for a yes or no
♡ At a loss for words, you give a non-committal shrug
♡ A bright sunshine smile
♡ "Great!! It's settled, I'll stay for a bit"
♡ He pokes around your shop, asking about rose water toners, fruit scented perfumes
♡ "What's your favourite?"
♡ Still processing the situation, you stare open mouthed at him
♡ Then lead him to the shea hair care you always use
♡ The honey scented body scrub and lotion, the vanilla lip balm and perfume
♡ He 'ooo's and 'aahhh's at them, remarking at how subtle and gentle they are
♡ You just offer him a small smile
♡ It becomes a regular thing, him helping pick up the order every month
♡ And ask for scent suggestions
♡ Rosewater, lavender, cedarwood, musk
♡ Though his favourite continues to be bourbon
♡ During the winter months, he notes the amount of product available
♡ Or the lack of
♡ You explain how winter affects your ability to make things
♡ Which leads to
♡ "But you ALWAYS have our order?'
♡ You smile, and explain that that is the order that keeps you going
♡ Especially in winter
♡ This visit is very quiet
♡ Winter ends, and the first visit of spring is very different
♡ Instead of loading Minhyuk and the foorman with boxes, 2 more footmen enter
♡ Unloading boxes everywhere
♡ The smells of the contents permeating your shop
♡ Old scents, shea, ginger, vanilla, rose
♡ And new
♡ Cinnamon, cardamom, sea salt, pumpkin and cranberry
♡ Overwhelmed, you stand and watch as they unload more boxes of ingredients
♡ More than you could ever use in your life
♡ And as they finish, he walks in
♡ That grin plastered on his face, incandescent
♡ "What do you think?? I ordered as much as I could, you should experiment!! Try new combinations!!"
♡ A small laugh escapes as you press your hand to your mouth
♡ He steps closer, smiling back
♡ "I seem to be very good at rendering you speechless, mm?"
♡ A raised eyebrow
♡ "Well then, let me return the favour"
♡ You close the little space left
♡ And kiss him
♡ "Mm... vanilla. Tasty"
