Will someone please write a Shape of Water AU where Dimitri answers the phone and goes to Elisa’s apartment instead of meeting with the Russians, but Strickland follows him there, and the rest of the movie plays out pretty much the same, except Dimitri lives, and then he has to hide because the Russians are after him, so he stays in Elisa’s apartment (maybe Zelda leaves her husband [BECAUSE SHE DESERVES BETTER] and she and Dimitri become roommates), and he and Giles get to know one another and they talk about art and science and fall in love and live happily ever after???
