TOH Hockey AU MasterPost

So I finally got my crap together and looked up how to actually, somewhat, use Tumblr. Since you all keep seeming to like my AU (I don't know why), I'm going to probably keep posting here as I complete it. Just a reminder that the ultimate goal is to post Hockey AU as a chapter by chapter fic on Ao3!

Soooooo... I was combing through Taldorei Campaign Setting Reborn, and discovered this passage.

I'm sure this is just speaking of the perverse nature of hell, with the wording of left hand being more important (Sorry lefties, but the phrase isn't: His left-hand man). But I can't help but feel this passage specifically leaves out someone else maybe even more important. And that perhaps, at Asmodius's right hand lies Zerxus, the First Knight of Avalar. The mortal who was so arrogant he believed he could redeem the God who created the devils themselves.

Hockey AU: Parenting Pt. 1

Well after a week of posting I finally finished the first part in the next arc that we'll see of Hockey AU. This one is big. I don't think I'll need to explain much further so instead enjoy. (Just a reminder that not all of the parts for this arc are done so it may be a week or two between updates or longer).

Amity was breathing heavily as she collided into the group pile with her teammates. Another game won. Cheers rang out through the stadium, almost deafening the thundering of her heartbeat in her chest.

"FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 9 YEARS, THE OTTERS ARE IN THE SEMI-FINALS!"

Another cheer erupted from inside the pile. They had worked so hard for this. Emotions were high and Amity let the energy buzz through her. This was it! Just 2 more games and they could be in the finals. They could be champs!

Someone collided into her going top speed and soon the entire team had her swept up in a group hug. Lotke was behind her in an instant, hoisting their star player on their towering shoulders as the team skated around their victory lap. From the vantage, Amity had only eyes for one person. Talking with the coach in the players box, their eyes met across the rink and the roar of the crowd and her teammates quieted instantly.

Luz smiled back at her, a huge grin that threatened to split her face in two. Her eyes were sparkling with pride and love.

Diet Drabble #6: Saying Goodbye

And so, you have finally made it to the end of my week of drabbles. Congratulations! Or at least you've skipped to the very end in which I need to tell you right now, You've come to the right place. If there was ever a time to jump in, it would #6.

What happens when Lucia is confronted with the fact that her baby sister has been turned to stone?

Now the precursor to this one is going to take a bit of backstory. Firstly before you go any farther I would please ask, no beg of you, to please go check out this fic exploring this concept in the first place. It was written by the incredible @yellowpie and deserves much more attention.

Have you properly shown them and their heartbreaking fic the love they deserve? Good. Now for the reason I tackled this. I was challenged by legendary archive master EarthControl who runs the TOH Recommended Fanfic List on reddit to make something that would elicit tears and at the time the pain from YellowPie's fic was the only thing living rent free in my mind. I wanted to try my hand at it and felt it was my best chance at causing some real damage. What we were all left with was this.

Diet Drabble #5: Annarcy

Ok. For #5 we are switching tracks here, and by switching tracks I mean jumping them completely into a different show. If you haven't watched Amphibia I suggest skipping this drabble. If you're planning on watching Amphibia I REALLY REALLY recommend skipping this drabble.

SPOILERS FOR TRUE COLORS LAY AHEAD.

Ok. Now that that is out of the way. I need to come right out and say this now, before you read, I ship Sashanne more. I know I know, come at me with pitchforks and torches if you must but that doesn't mean I can't still see a ship happening between these two. And, as a birthday gift to a friend of mine who requested I write some Annarcy, I drafted this. It's my signature hurt/comfort style with established Annarcy. But things aren't exactly perfect between the girls. Some wounds don't just heal exactly right.

Diet Drabble #4: Into the Eye

So. Awhile back I found this tumblr post and theory based on the trailer we received for S2. And it filled me with anxiety. Somehow my head filled with the idea that Luz would investigate the Titan's eyes following the clues she gathered around the isles searching for a way home. Not only did all of them lead to the eye but there was an inexplicable draw to them as well. But if it really did connect to the portal between worlds... then what happens if Luz was to become lost within?

Then I did what a Polar always does... I wrote out the scenario in a painful way. Enjoy drabble #4, Into the Eye. (It's one of my favorites. :D)

Diet Drabble #3: The Necklace

For day #3 lets go ahead and keep going with the S2E2 slight spoilers. So yes again. SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR S2E2

Anyways. Now that you have been warned. As an avid Odalia is awful and terrible and general suffering and not giving Amity a break kind of writer, it was only a matter of time before I tackled the necklace.

Mix emotional abuse with the fusion of Oracle and Abomination magic and you have some truly terrifying circumstances.

Diet Drabble #2

Warning: Slight Spoilers for S2E2.

So for Diet Drabble Day Number 2, I noticed something about the new episode, Escaping Expulsion. And it wasn't something I saw a lot of because honestly I doubt it really meant anything at all. But, when the kids were all getting up to walk out of Blight Industries, Amity, Luz and Willow were all staring straight ahead. There was only one person who wasn't. Gus. Where were his eyes? On Amity.

Which sent my fanfic tropey brain a-thinking. How painful would it be for Luz to realize that Gus had a crush on Amity? Especially now that her feelings have finally surfaced. I was requested to run with it and run with it I did.

Diet Drabble #1: Mother's Day

Hi! It's been awhile. Lately things have been swamped at work and at home so I haven't had time to dedicate to any of my long form projects. So instead of not working, I've been having a blast writing small snippets of stuff based on conversations and ideas I've had. I figured in this time of absolutely radio silence from me I'll just post my 'Diet' Drabbles. I've got about 6 done so far and I'll try and post one a day.

Since it's father's day, let's start off with the Mother's Day drabble. Because logic. Anyways, while everyone was posting wholesome mother's day fics I got to thinking... well... not every Mother's Day could be happy. Little Amity came to mind of course and it spiraled from there.

Hockey AU: Pizza Date Pt. 2

Hey! Fun fact, I wrote this months ago. Does this mean it predates Dana confirming there is no homophobia on the Isles? Yes it does. Very excited about it. :3

Anyways I won't waste your time any longer. I know both of these are pfairly short but it's been a 2-parter ever since I posted it in my discord I'm a part of. (Shout-outs once more to my friends there. Y'all lovely people and know what you did. >.>)

No TW this time. Just some fluff and explanations.

“Luz can you slow down a bit? I’m sure the house isn’t going anywhere.” Amity complained as the human led her forcibly down the street.

Her voice seemed to cut through the chaos in Luz’s mind like a knife. She focused on her hand and gave Amity an apologetic squeeze as she slowed down.

“I’m sorry. Look at me, dragging you around at breakneck speed when you’re still tired and run-down from practice.” Luz smiled sheepishly, falling in line with her girlfriend to walk next to her.

“Well, actually the food helped quite a bit.” Amity admitted truthfully, before turning to face Luz sharply. “But don’t let it get to your head.”

“Too late.” Luz grinned back at her.

Hockey AU: Pizza Date Pt. 1

Hi. It's ya girl. Back again. This is the last of the fully written parts I have done for Hockey AU, so anything else that gets posted is being worked on and completed currently. For example, Pizza Date was the second(?) fully written thing I've ever done for Hockey AU. I drew alot from my own experiences while writing it. Hockey AU is just the thing I write to de-stress anymore.

TW: Homophobia.

"So. Whatcha feeling? It's my treat today!" Luz grinned at Amity as they both stood at the counter.

"Oh. Luz, I'm not really that hungry. I thought we were just going home." Amity said with a small frown.

Luz watched her face fall and felt only a tiny twinge of guilt. Luz glanced over at the man behind the counter who rolled his eyes with smile, communicating that, yes, he didn't mind waiting.

"Oh we'll make it home eventually, but you've got to be hungry after a practice like today. I'm starving and all I did was watch!" Luz exclaimed, giving her full attention back to Amity.

"You're always starving Luz." Amity said, giving her a look.

Hockey AU: Practicing

So. This is a shorter shot that's already been done and typed for a while now. I'd say it's probably going to be a part of a larger arc involving the Semi-Finals in general and the build up to Hockey Injury.

Anyways I'll stop explaining and let you get into it. No warnings this time. Just expect a mostly Luz focused piece featuring best friend Willow.

Luz Noceda has never given up on anything in her life. Not when she was told by her mother that she couldn't climb to the top of giant fake cat tree at the local pet store, or when the local kids bet her that she couldn't stand out in the snow with no shoes for longer then 30 minutes.

Or even when she was told (multiple times) that human's couldn't perform magic.

Now, finishing the last line of her glyph, she proved them all wrong once again as she gently tapped the edge of the giant ice spell she had created. In a glowing flash, a large circle of ice formed under her feet.

She was Luz Noceda. And she could do this.

A World Apart: Upcoming Chapter Sneak Peak!!

Ok. I know I said I wouldn't do this anymore, but I also know it's been awhile since I last uploaded. I've been working on something that we probably won't see in the story for awhile yet... but... it's good.

Luz raced along the forest floor, trying desperately not to think too hard about all the movies and shows she watched where the person being chased tripped and fell. She couldn't afford to trip here. Couldn't afford what would happen if she did.

Behind her an explosion ricocheted dirt and grass past her ear. They were much too close for comfort now. A nervous laugh filled her chest and she let it escape to try and keep breathing. How did they find her?! It was just a quick disruption mission...

"THERE. BETWEEN THE TREES."

Rain began to fall as Luz's situation got immensely worse. She hissed as she felt the first drop of Boiling Rain burn her skin. The guards crashing behind her paused in their pursuit to put up protective glyphs but all Luz could do was keep running.

A terrible day to leave my cloak at home. Luz thought bitterly as she pulled up the cat hood on her shirt, desperate for any protection.

Lightning flashed above her as the storm began to roll in. Moving quicker now, the light helped her see where she was. Ahead loomed a familiar shadow of a building. Luz deftly cut under some trees that protected her for a few precious moments as she shifted course. The confused shouting from behind her told the human that it was the correct decision.

Running up behind the manor, Luz scooped up several loose pebbles as she continued her sprint. Skating to a stop, the rain beat down relentless on her skin, making her wince in agony. Locking her eyes on what she prayed was the correct window she chucked rock after rock, occasionally glancing behind her and praying that the guards were far enough back to not hear.

"Come on... come on, please Ami..."
