Zine Wrap Up

Now with all EU orders shipped, leftovers taken care of, and all profit donated to charity, I’ll leave the zine.

As of now, I’m the last mod actively handling things. I doubt anything will happen on this account after I left (or on the zine’s twitter account), but if there should be new posts, it’s from one of the former mods returning to the zine. NOT from me.

However, I’m not gone. I’ll leave the zine’s social media, but should you have any questions or concerns regarding anything, or should you simply want to chat about zines - you can always reach me through my personal twitter @/HapSkyScribbles c:

Leftover Sale

Here’s the leftover form for the zine: https://forms.gle/D8Q8C83wSFHEgfwp8

Please read the info below before filling it out!!

As mentioned in previous update posts, I lost contact with the mod team, especially Mod Mirio who has access to the funds and email account, so I’m acting on my own in the team’s name, doing what I think is the best for the zine and everyone involved.

To bring the zine to an end, I announced I’d offer all the items I have left in a leftover sale. But as I offer this only in order to fulfil my obligations and responsibilities to the zine, and as I have no insight on how much each item did originally cost, I don’t feel comfortable pricing the items.

We were a for-profit zine, but I don’t have any way to give the profits to our contributors. However, as simply giving the items away for free would seem unfair to those who paid to receive them during the preorder period, I decided to make this leftover sale a “pay what you want” version with a set minimum donation amount.

All profit made this way will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.

Why this specific charity organisation? I wanted to donate to one that somehow involves saving children (Mirio saved Eri) and protecting others (Tamaki). I’m new to researching charity organisations and I don’t know how to judge whether they’re trustworthy or not, so I went with one that’s big and well known, and therefore most likely a reliable one.

By filling out the form, you express interest in receiving leftover items, though it is not an “order” of the items. I only have a very limited amount left, so I can’t guarantee you the item you want is still available, as I ship them out on a first-come, first-served basis. After you have filled out the form, I’ll contact you via email and inform you about which of the items you want are left and to which PayPal email address to send the payment.

PRICE OVERVIEW

$3 PayPal transaction fee

$5 minimum donation amount

$5-$15 shipping costs

optional: any extra amount you want to donate

SHIPPING COSTS OVERVIEW

$10 worldwide

$5 EU (I’m located in the EU)

+$5 optional: for a tracking number

So if you’d like eg a zine with a sticker, you’d like to donate additional $5, you live in the US and want tracking, that would be $28 with $3 covering the transaction fees, $15 used for shipping the package and $10 going to Doctors Without Borders.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email (hapskyscribbles@gmail.com) or via twitter message (@/HapSkyScribbles)

- Mod HapSky

I already ran out of some items, I updated the form accordingly ✨

Thank you so much to everyone who filled out the form so far!!

- Mod HapSky

I’ll be away over the holidays, so I’ll resume shipping on the 30th!! I’ll also CLOSE the leftover sale on the 30th, so if you want any of the leftover merch grab it now ☀️ - Mod HapSky

Leftover sale is now closed and all packages shipped!! Thank you everyone who ordered items, together we were able to raise $56/50€ to donate to Doctors Without Borders! An update post regarding the donation will follow asap - Mod HapSky

Hi everyone!! This zine should be nearing its end, but it’s dragging out endlessly, so I want to speed up the process and wrap everything up as quickly as possible.

For that, I’ll be clear and transparent about what happened behind the scenes: as you probably gathered from the previous updates I posted on social media, the mod team left. I have no way of gaining access to the email account or the US orders information. I don’t have access to funds of the zine, and none of the mods I contacted (and who replied) has either. The one mod I do know has access doesn’t reply. I’m the last one actively communicating with customers and contributors, but there’s not much I can do.

What does that mean? It means I can’t do anything for US orders. I can’t tell you where your package is, I can’t give you a refund. I’m sorry.

It also means I’m sitting on items I don’t have the funds to ship out, I had to ask customers if they were willing to pay for shipping again so I could send them their package. Some were, some weren’t, some asked me to hold onto their package until they are able to pay for shipping. I’ll keep the 5 packages that are left to be shipped for now, until I talked to the customers and discussed what’s to happen with their package.

I asked contributors the same, and here again, some were willing to pay for shipping, some weren’t, most haven’t gotten back to me yet. Customers paid for their bundles, and while we were supposed to be a for-profit zine, contributors didn’t pay for their bundle. Which is why I’ll only offer to hold onto the customer packages. If you’re a contributor and want your compensation in the form of the full physical bundle, it’s in your interest to contact me! Contact me either via discord, the zine’s twitter or my personal twitter/email. If I don’t hear back from contributors by Dec 8th, I’ll assume you have no interest in your bundle.

Whether customer or contributor, if you’re willing to pay for shipping, get in contact with me to get your stuff (twitter or email)! If you contacted me and I received shipping payment before Dec 8th, I’ll ship it.

What happens to the packages no one contacts me for by Dec 8th, and with the small amount of leftover items? I will put them up to be claimed by anyone who wants them on my personal twitter on Dec 15th when I’ll have a better overview of what is left. I won’t take money for the items as I have no way of giving the profit to contributors, but I also don’t have enough money to pay for shipping out of pocket, so you may claim an item only when willing to pay for its shipping.

For anyone whose package got lost, and any contributor who didn’t get back to me until Dec 8th to get their bundle, this is your second chance to get the items you want!

I plan to close the zine’s twitter and tumblr on Dec 20th! You can still reach me on my personal twitter/email after that, should the need to contact me arise. If you have any more questions or concerns regarding mod team, or packages or what happened, anything - feel free to send me a message, I’ll be transparent about everything and answer as best as I can.

You can contact me via twitter (HapSkyScribbles) or email (hapskyscribbles gmail com).

Still no contact with the mod team, still can’t do anything for US orders :(

All customer orders have been shipped out!!

The rest of the items will be available through a form shortly.

I’ll leave the zine’s social media after all items that are left have found a home (ideally before the holidays, but if needed until the end of the year) - anything that happens after that is not my doing, anything that’s posted after that is not from me, but from other mods eventually, possibly, returning to the zine...

Update

Some time has passed, some more issues arised, and I felt another update was in order:

- non-US orders: the last batch has yet to be shipped. I’ll reach out to everyone whose order hasn’t been shipped via email within the coming week. If you wish to know whether your package is on its way to you, please contact me via twitter (@/HapSkyScribbles or @/miritama_zine) with the email address you ordered with and I’ll check.

- contributor bundles: all non-US contributor bundles have yet to be shipped. I will contact contributors via discord within the coming week.

- asks regarding US orders, unanswered emails, refunds, missing/lost/damaged packages: I can’t do anything for you, I’m sorry. I don’t have access to the order information for US orders, I don’t have access to the email account, I don’t have access to the zine’s funds and I don’t have access to the zine’s leftover items.

I tried to get in contact with the mod team again, but the only other mod who responded (Mod Suki) also doesn’t have access to any of these. Mod Mirio (who has access to order information, funds, items, emails) has not responded for roughly a month.

I’m sorry for the inconveniences, and I’m sorry I can’t do more...

I sent off the second batch of customer orders today, just one more to go!! Then, the remaining contributor bundles will be packed and shipped.

Again, the orders take 2-3 weeks to arrive and should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me either via the zine’s twitter @/miritama_zine or my twitter @/HapSkyScribbles

Thank you for your patience and your support!!

Shipping Update

I had to wait for some info and shipping funds from mod mirio, but I received them yesterday and packed all orders asap. Today, I finally started shipping them out, the first batch is on its way!!

The orders take 2-3 weeks to arrive. If you should have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me (best way to contact me is via the zine’s twitter, my twitter @/HapSkyScribbles or my email--on that note, I cannot answer tumblr asks for now, I’m sorry. I receive your asks, but I can only view the first line and I haven’t found a way to fix it yet)

I’ll post little updates every time I ship off a batch of orders to keep you updated, and once again when all orders have been shipped. Thanks for your patience and your support!!

Another Update

The non US orders arrived!!

Again, I apologise for the delay. In addition to the aforementioned USPS issues, the package has been stuck in customs for quite a while. I called them at the beginning of the month, asking if they had any packages on my name, then again last week. They weren’t able/allowed to answer this, and told me to wait for a letter from them to arrive (with papers I needed to collect the package anyway.) Said letter did arrive today, and I went to fetch the package asap (that in itself was somewhat of a tiny adventure haha) and finally the zine copies and merch products are with me, in good condition :D

Now I’ll do my very best to pack all orders and ship them out to customers asap!! I’m currently waiting on some more packaging materials, but I dare say I’ll have all orders shipped out by the end of next week. However, I’ll keep y’all up to date every time I send off a batch, and once all orders have been shipped. Thanks for your patience!!

Regarding questions about labels and concerns about not received emails: all I know is that our US shipping mod (mod mirio) corrected the date on some labels which is why those are still on “created”, and that all US orders have been shipped out. Mod mirio is also the one answering emails and handling refunds, all asks I receive regarding these I’ll pass on to them. Please let me know if you don’t get a reply to an email, but also please be patient with mod mirio, they’re doing their best as well but are also very busy and stressed at the moment…

Once more, thank you for your patience and support!!

Update

Apologies for the long silence and the lack of updates regarding the shipping of non US orders.

I'll get right to the point regarding these orders: there has been a major delay due to issues with USPS, but all products are now on their way to the EU shipping mod (me) and hopefully should arrive soon. Once they do, I'll post another update, and get all orders shipped out to customers asap!!

Now regarding the long period without any updates: I don’t know why they stopped, I'm initially responsible for the zine's twitter account, but only ever cross posted updates from tumblr. I have no experience in being a communication mod, however, it is not acceptable to simply cease communicating with our contributors and customers, so I have taken over communication for now.

That said, I've never properly used tumblr, so communication here might be a bit bumpy. I also have yet to get access to the email account, so communication there is not working momentarily. For everyone asking for a refund, please allow me some time to figure out how to get your money back to you. If you have any questions, as of now, twitter is the best way to get a hold of the mod team.

Again, I'm sorry for the lack of updates and the huge delay of shipping the rest of the orders. I'll do my best to get everything back on track again. Thank you for understanding and your support!!
