Fiction is fiction
Okay, I know there have already been people who have made comments/statements/whatever, I still, very much would like to say something I find important.
Fiction is fiction. I’m not just talking about fanfictions, I mean books, movies, shows, etc. None of it is real.
Right now, you may find that X show is the most important thing in your life, of that Y book was a masterpiece and how dare anyone touch something sacred.
Fiction is fiction. That show you love, with those characters that you adore, they have never existed. (At least in the form that you see them in.)
People, creating content for XYZ are not trying to offend the creator, and they are not trying to offend you.
What they do is praise.
What they do is show appreciation.
What they do is love the same thing that you do, and there is no right way to do that.
Fiction is fiction. One day, XYZ will end. One day, you might not care about what XYZ was. Like everything else in this world, at some point, it will end.
Fiction is fiction. It is not the most important thing in your life. You love it. You feel passionately about it. But it is not the most important thing in your life.
Fiction is fiction. Maybe it has saved you. Maybe it hasn’t. That doesn’t make your love for it unequal or more real.
Fiction is fiction. But the people who create to show their love, appreciation, and praise, is not fiction.
The character, the story, will not get hurt by their representation of their love, appreciation, and praise. They cannot feel.
The creators of the content to show their love, appreciation, and praise, can.
The original creators of the content you love, will not get hurt by people bending their creation, because these people are showing their love, appreciation, and praise.
Fiction is fiction.
