hello! xue again. i’ve decided to Finally make a condensed list of all the longer things i’ve written here, meaning fics and drabbles and dumb solo bits but no character studies! those can be found here!!!

To be honest, you’ve always found it frustrating. Your words couldn’t have been written in a spot easy for you to read? And never mind the tone of that sentence. You’ve had friends read them out, say them in different voices - most of them hit all the wrong buttons. 

Though you never intended your words to come out so sharply. 

He surprises you, honestly, sidling up to you amidst the still-nervous crowd, arching his brow in such a haughty manner and then- and then saying your words. It doesn’t quite register, really, and he sounds like he’s trying to chat you up, so-

“Is that really how you flirt?” You snap, and then your face goes slack and his seems to mirror yours, barely a second after. He sees the recognition light up your eyes, and then he laughs. 

“You will get to see every which way I flirt. Have the time for a few more lines?”

He hasn’t been listening, but then, you haven’t really been speaking to him. He’s proven himself an expert in escapology, and it always seems he’s doing his best to escape these kinds of conversations with you. You’re not sure whether he’s simply ignoring your overtures, or he’s been too dense to notice them, but... It’s beginning to hurt. You open your mouth, fully intending to lay your feelings bare, only for Toga and Spinner to drift into the room, grumbling at each other about something in consequential. 

Atsuhiro lifts his eyes, focusing on their squabbling, even as he keeps painting, but he spares you a quick smile when he notices you watching him. “Impossible,” he repeats, and it looks like his brow is furrowing behind his balaclava. “What were you saying about impossibilities?”

what you’re not quite sure of is where all the animosity stemmed from, especially since he seemed to conduct himself well enough with everyone else. 

out of all your fellow colleagues, he treated you with the most transparent curtness, from promptly exiting whenever you entered the breakroom for a refreshment, to visibly retching the one time you tried to take an empty seat next to him during a conference (you’ll never forgive him for that slight).

it was really starting to grate on you. you were going to have to confront him about this yourself.

besides, you’ve no longer a choice in the matter: this unspoken tension had begun to affect the workplace, with people sometimes looking to and fro between you and him, confused to high hell why he always kept himself a good several meters away from you if he could-- not that you were complaining. social distancing can be quite mutually beneficial, after all.

“then why ‘ave i just seen you chattin up deku?! wot, you fink i can’t graft any other bird here?”

“are you schtewpid mate? do you have no trust in me?” you say (also fuming). then, you break down into big ol tears. “it’s over, katsuki. it’s licherally over.” you flip him off quickly before departing, leaving him to stand in the pouring rain.

b this is late as shit i’m so sorry but i’m breathing dw and i feel u!!!!!!!! i took a long ass break bc i needed that shit and if you need it, give it to urself. i’ve been reading a lot!!!!! books, fanfics, everything. i dont know if this is legit advice because i write on the fly, but OMG dont delete anything!!!!! keep all ur scenes and bits of dialogue in your drafts or smth because if ur like me, u might catch a pattern within ur writing and all you need to is fill in the gaps

i’m Back.....even if only momentarily.....i just thought i’d say hello (HELLO!!!!) and give those interested an update :--) a lot has been going on unsurprisingly in the two months i’ve dipped and i have to say, i will not be coming back to writing. (just yet, at least!) i’ve also apparently missed my blog’s 1st year anniversary which is <///3 but life goes on. it’s a tough year yall, imma not lie

but anyway thank you to all the people who still read my pieces!!! it was kinda weird coming back and seeing ppl still liking some of my old ass fics LOL. i hope everyone is well and healthy and taking care of themselves!!! if you ever wanna swing by my inbox of DMs im always down to talk :--)
