her actions show us a promise for a new future. a world in which violence does not answer violence. a world in which our children can flourish without the shadow of death. ( indie commander lexa from the cw's the 100. selective. )

worried starters

trigger warnings apply! ( mental illness, drugs and alcohol use, self-destructive behaviours, and vomiting )

“You haven’t slept for days, have you?” “Are you eating properly? You don’t look it.” “Why do you keep stumbling over your words? Just how tired are you?” “You need to think about yourself every once in a while.” “I know your work is important, but you’re going to end up in hospital if you go on like this!” “You haven’t even touched your food. What’s going on?” “You look so… empty. I’m worried for you, please talk to me.” “Are you alright in there? You’re so quiet.” “How did you get these bruises? Please don’t lie to me.” “There’s something bothering you that you’re not telling me and I can see it slowly destroying you. What happened?” “You’re sleep deprived and you haven’t been eating. Why do you think you’re feeling dizzy?” “I can give you some pills to help you sleep. They aren’t healthy, but this is even less healthy.” “If you didn’t just blink I would’ve sworn you were dead, that’s how sickly you’re looking. Go to bed, please!” “Have you drank all of these bottles in one weekend?!” “I know you don’t want this, but it’s for your own good. Sign the papers so they can pick you up tomorrow and you can get clean.” “What the hell are you doing?! Did you do that to yourself?!” “When was the last time you left the house? Or opened the curtains for that matter.” “Here, just keep breathing. It’ll be okay. Better out than in…” “This can’t go on like this! You’re not eating, you’re not sleeping, you barely talk!” “I’m sorry. I went through your room and found this. Explain what the hell this is doing in your room!” “I thought you’d quit! How long have you been lying to me?” “I’m only trying to help and right now I think I have a much better idea of what you need than you do.” “Did you take anything? Why are you passing out? Hey! Stay with me!”

’ How can you read this? There’s no pictures! ’ ’ Well, some people use their imagination… ’ ’ This is the day your dreams come true. ’ ’ I’m-I’m speechless. I really don’t know what to say. ’ ’ Say you’ll marry me! ’ ’ I just don’t deserve you! ’ ’ I want to do something for him/her… but what? ’ ’ No, no! It’s got to be more something more special than that! ’ ’ This is yet another example of the late neoclassic Baroque period. ’ ’ If I didn’t know better, I’d think you had feelings for this monster. ’ ’ I thought I told you to come down to dinner! ’ ’ I’m not hungry! ’ ’ You’ll come out, or I’ll-I’ll-I’ll break down the door! ’ ’ Will you come down to dinner? ’ ’ It would give me great pleasure… ’ ’ We say please. ’ ’ You can’t stay in there forever! ’ ’ Fine! Then go ahead and starve! ’ ’ Oh dear. That didn’t go very well at all, did it? ’ ’ If she/he doesn’t eat with me, then she/he doesn’t eat at all! ’ ’ Who said anything about the castle being enchanted? ’ ’ It was you, wasn’t it? ’ ’ Oh, you look so… so… ’ ’ Not quite the word I was looking for, but perhaps a - little more off the top. ’ ’ Maybe some other time… ’ ’ _______, you are positively primeval! ’ ’ Why did you come here? ’ ’ Do you realize what you could have done? ’ ’ I didn’t mean any harm. ’ ’ Please… stop… ’ ’ Who’s there? Who are you? ’ ’ I’ve come for my father. Please, let him out! Can’t you see, he’s sick? ’ ’ Please, I’ll do anything! ’ ’ Oh, there must be some way I can… ’ ’ Then he/she shouldn’t have trespassed here! ’ ’ The master of this castle… ’ ’ Wait! Take me instead. ’ ’ You don’t know what you’re doing! ’ ’ Yes. But… you must promise to stay here forever! ’ ’ Come into the light… ’ ’ You have my word… ’ ’ For who could ever learn to love a beast? ’ ’ Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard? ’ ’ That’s not a request! ’ ’ I’ve been burnt by you before! ’ ’ I’m afraid I’ve been thinking… ’ ’ If you’d hold still, it wouldn’t hurt as much! ’ ’ Well, if you hadn’t have run away, this wouldn’t have happened! ’ ’ If you hadn’t frightened me, I wouldn’t have run away! ’ ’ Well you shouldn’t have been in the west wing! ’ ’ Well, you should learn to control your temper! ’ ’ Now, hold still. This might sting a little. ’ ’ By the way, thank you… for saving my life. ’ ’ Couldn’t keep quiet, could we? ’ ’ Just had to invite him/her to stay, didn’t we? ’ ’ I was trying to be hospitable. ’ ’ I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. ’ ’ I want so much more than they’ve got planned… ’ ’ Well, Your Highness, I must say everything is going just swimmingly. ’ ’ I knew you had it in you, ha ha! ’ ’ You what? How could you do that? ’ ’ I use antlers in all of my decorating! ’ ’ I-I-I was lost in the woods, and-and… ’ ’ Please, I meant no harm. I-I just need a place to stay. ’ ’ What’re you staring at? ’ ’ I’ll give you a place to stay. ’ ’ No, no! Please! Don’t, no! ’ ’ I’d like to thank you all for coming to my wedding. ’ ’ Sir, close that at once! Do you mind? ’ ’ It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. ’ ’ Oh, must help her/him to see past all that. ’ ’ Well, you can start by making yourself more presentable. ’ ’ Oh, it’s no use. ’ ’ I don’t know how. ’ ’ Come, come, show me the smile. ’ ’ There’s a stranger here! ’ ’ Pardon me, Master… ’ ’ Leave me in peace. ’ ’ It doesn’t matter now. Just let them come. ’ ’ I’ll show you to your room. ’ ’ Do you wanna stay in the tower? ’ ’ You must control your temper! ’ ’ Of course I came back. I couldn’t let them… oh, this is all my fault! ’ ’ You… you came back. ’ ’ If only I had gotten here sooner. ’ ’ Maybe… maybe… it’s better… it’s better this way. ’ ’ Don’t talk like that! You’ll be alright. ’ ’ We’re together now; everything’s going to be fine, you’ll see… ’ ’ And at least… at least I got to see you… one last time. ’ ’ Please. Please… Please don’t leave me. ’ ’ Well, perhaps there’s something there that wasn’t there before. ’ ’ There may be something there that wasn’t there before. ’ ’ Shh. I’ll tell you when you’re older. ’ ’ I’ll not have you making up such wild stories. ’ ’ Let me go! Let me go, please! Don’t hurt me! I’ll do anything! Anything! ’ ’ I’m… I’m about ready to give up on this hunk of junk. ’ ’ This castle is your home now, so you can go anywhere you like, except the West Wing. ’ ’ I mean it this time! I’ll never get this boneheaded contraption to work! ’ ’ Well, what are we waiting for? ’ ’ I’ll have this thing fixed in no time! ’ ’ You really believe that? ’ ’ Be our guest. ’ ’ Is it dangerous? ’ ’ Oh no, he’d/she’d never hurt anyone. ’ ’ Hmmm. Could you read it again? ’ ’ Why don’t you read it to me? ’ ’ You mean, you never learned? ’ ’ I learned… a little. It’s just been… so long. ’ ’ Well, here, I’ll help you. ’ ’ What would you say if you and I took a walk over to the tavern and took a look at my trophies? ’

raven reyes is one of the most technologically competent people clarke’s ever met. so if she sent a text to lexa, she meant to send a text to lexa. (probably because she knows that the moment she’s back in her dorm, she’ll be hounded until she puts on something nice, decants the dregs of that vodka bottle sitting on the windowsill into a water bottle, and makes it out with the rest of them. translation: rae will definitely be seeing her tonight. bitch.)
‘as riveting as that sounds, o’s throwing a party and we’re going.’        sorry, lexa. you kind of don’t have a say in it. well – if you really didn’t want to…– but still, she grins: lexa woods is a college student who spends more time glued to a book than anything else. she has some party hours to catch up on.       ‘rae’s picking us up at eight.’

she should have known that this was coming. it was practically a habit by now. once friday or saturday rolled around, her friends ( mostly clarke ) forced her to leave her books and whatever paper she wanted to write that night and literally dragged her by the hand to some party or other various events like paintball or bonfires on the beach. parties, they were really not lexa’s thing. she much rather would have stayed in, reading or watching netflix. but that never seemed to sound like a good enough plan for one clarke griffin. and since when could she ever say no to clarke ?? since never. those blue eyes were dangerous and way too convincing. add an adorable pout and lexa melted, unable to resist the girl she was desperately in love with. it was pathetic really how incredibly whipped she was but she just couldn’t help it. whatever clarke wanted, clarke got. but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to be grumpy about it. of course o’s throwing a party. a small sigh left her lips, green eyes rolling slightly.   ——  is lincoln at least going to be there ?? and exactly what kind of a party is it ?? a small relaxing gathering or an obnoxious frat party where i’m going to have to deal with guys like finn collins ?? she asked, disgust on her face when she said that name.

costia slipped behind the other woman,  hands moving to weighted shoulders to massage the tense muscles located there gently.  and you do not want to make these decisions while exhausted,  hm?  just rest a little while.  these things will wait on you.  you are in charge,  after all.

tense shoulders sagged instantly upon her lover’s gentle touch, green eyes closing for a moment as a long breath slowly passed her lips. no, i do not. but azgeda will not wait, costia. the war will not wait. it will start whether or not these decisions have been made. it will not wait for me to be ready.  lexa turned, arms wrapping around the other’s waist protectively. “ and i can not let our people down.
