❝CARRIE WHITE, strategically named after the famous character from Stephen King's book 'Carrie' and Margaret White, also named after another character from the very same book were the odd mother-daughter duo of Hawkins, Indiana. Behind closed doors, they were science experiment and scientist, Carrie wasn't her real name — it was really '007' — but it was a fitting name considering her weird abilities she had inherited from birth.

TELEPATHY AND TELEKINESIS are the root of the abilities she had inherited at birth, as Margaret White tells her, but her powers had grown to the point where Dr. Brenner, or papa as she once called him, allowed her to leave the Hawkins Lab. But, she was still a science experiment. She may not be confined to the halls of Hawkins Lab anymore but she would be naïve to think that she was no longer their property. Carrie White was not as dumb as the scientist believed, they had allowed her to grow too big, too powerful. The plan they had designed for her, Carrie was unsure of the details but she was certain that it had backfired. And she was planning to escape, both the Lab and Hawkins, Indiana once she graduated from high school in the upcoming summer. But then the other eleven escape Brenner's clutches, her best friend's younger brother goes missing, and she becomes Chief Hopper's sidekick in an attempt to save her best friend's brother from another dimension.

AND HER ATTEMPT to save Will Byers will lead her to some startling truths about Hawkins, what really happened to Lucy and Sara Hopper, and she even finds out what happened to her as a child and how she became a trapped bird in the lab's cage. The very same events that she thought were going to thwart her chance to be free and safe away from Hawkins all lead to the very moment she had been waiting for all her life . . . ❞

if they don't burst out an acapella version of africa in s4e8 of stranger things 4 i'm gonna be very disappointed,,, like for those who know what i'm talking about: can you look at me and tell me that it wouldn't work?

CHAPTER UPDATE: 003 𓅨 RUN, CARRIE, RUN

❝. . . Carrie blinks up at him, she wasn't much shorter than him but he still had a head or two against her which meant she had to look up at him when making eye contact. His pretty brown eyes, that very remind her of those of a golden retriever dogs, meet her blue eyes and his ears turn a bright pink. She ponders for a moment if this is really Steve or if maybe it was actually his secret identical twin who was usually locked away or perhaps, even worse, it was a test from the lab. Perhaps Brenner and the others managed to perfect another 004 or 008 whose powers have to do with reality manipulation and illusions respectively.

But listening to Steve's surface thoughts, Carrie quickly decides that they were too Steve's to be an impersonator. As awkward as he's behaving, this was definitely her Steve standing before her and not some lab rip-off. Still, his uncharacteristic behaviour has her feeling nervous and on edge . . .❞

FANFIC INTRO: you’re running after something that you’ll never kill

Perhaps when you were supposedly assassinated for messing up the timeline, it would be best not to do anything drastic but Prudence Sinclair was never any good at doing what she was told. Which is why she was meant to be assassinated for in the first place, she had grown too hard for the Handler to control and her powers, inherited from her father, were becoming useless to the Handler so she was to be disposed of. By, some miracle, Prudence Sinclair managed to talk her way out of being assassinated.

Number Five was the Handler's best assassin, so he was tasked to kill her. It was mostly for the irony, Number Five was Prudence's uncle although he didn't know it, her father was Klaus Hargreeves. She had only recently discovered this, it subsequently lead to her 'death'. Somehow she convinced him to spare her. He didn't leave her unharmed but he left her alive with a set of rules. Rules which would be ignored two years later with the passing of Reginald Hargreeves. How could she guess Number Five would turn up, that very same day, in the body of his thirteen-year-old self, ranting about a doomsday that the Umbrella Academy plus herself need to stop?
