dividing by 3 is basically the most classic move when youre trying to get from 12 to 4
subtracting by 8 will get you there but its pretty tedious IMO. dividing gets you right there every time. real divisionheads know

for ages i thought i didnt like drag because of internalized homophobia but it turned out i just don't like bright lights and loud music and really visually complicated things
spd is homophobic i guess is what im saying
real talk tho this is a good example of how some things just can't be made universally accessible. they are never going to make a quiet reserved drag show with few bright colors that i can enjoy. that goes against like...the entire point of drag and the celebrating of taking up space that a lot of gay events are.
and that's okay! i wouldn't want them to! i just need to find other things that make me feel happy and at home and part of the community. different needs require different solutions, and sometimes a thing just isn't for you.
It's good when you take a moment and examine yourself and be like "why don't like I like this" because sometimes the answer has like 5 possibilities:
1. "this is just not accessible to me for Reason"
2. "I have trauma to work through"
3. "oh shit I have prejudice to work through!"
4. "I don't actually have a reason. I just don't like it because I don't enjoy it"
Or
5. "It is objectively bad"
But often you don't know until you take a step back and look at it from a different angle
And I think most people assume if they don't like something it's the last one but in my experience it's the least frequent possibility
I went outside to the real world and there was nuance. it was fucking terrifying stay safe y'all
The way I would tell my BF no if he didn’t first ask my father for my hand before proposing like what do you mean you didn’t ask my dad!!!!!??????
Realizing that this was the worst website for this question because you’re all gay and hate your dads
Totally unrelated to me being queer, and I don't hate my dad. I'm just not my dad's property. My parents were pissed that my husband didn't ask my dad first, and I shut it down immediately, because it was never up to him. Marriage is a decision to be made between mature adult partners, not anyone else; not their parents.
I'm queer and don't hate my father. We don't really talk but I don't hate him.
My father is incredibly conservative - like, "was actively campaigning for Reagan as president in the fucking 60s" - and he would be really weirded out if someone asked him for permission to marry any of his kids. He told us as much when we were kids and it came up in old movies - that this was our decision and not his. He would want to meet who we were marrying, but that's because he cares, not because it's his decision.
Like, if my dad is less conservative than your position on something, that's... impressive. IDK.
Tbh if someone was gonna talk to anyone in my family before proposing, they should talk to my brother. Not for permission but bc if you don't pass muster with Jake, it ain't happening.
OP realizing that this was the worst website for this question because it's not 1964 outside.
How the fuck do i put my romulus mcdonalds pin on a chain im going to fucking kill myself
Reasons I’ve heard why Princess Kate is “missing” in no particular order:
• BBL
• facelift
• prepping for going on The Masked Singer
• growing out a bad fringe
• mental breakdown (possibly due to William knocking up Rose Hanbury)
• going on drag race All Stars (courtesy of Bianca Del Rio)
• they’re getting a divorce
•induced coma
• she’s straight up just dead and the royals are just digitally “weekend at Bernie’s”-ing us
• she’s moved to a small town and has met a man who doesn’t know she’s a princess and is teaching her the real joy of Christmas.
• she’s recovering from abdominal surgery on medical advice (booooooo)

Some things I think people are overlooking in the tiktok ban bill, because it's not just a tiktok ban:
This is so much more than just a tiktok ban.
As a young boy in school, Masaki Sashima would be dragged out of his classroom and beaten by his fellow students.
Masaki, now 72, was different to the other kids.
He was Ainu, an Indigenous people from the country's northern regions, most notably the large island of Hokkaido.
"During recess, the hallway door would open, and several guys would yell at me to come out," he said.
"I clung to my desk in the classroom and kept quiet.
"Everyone would surround me and beat me."
Japan has long portrayed itself as culturally and ethnically homogenous, something that some have even argued is a key to its success as a nation.
More than 98 per cent of Japanese people are descendants of the Yamato people.
But the Ainu are distinct, with their own history, languages, and culture.
But, as the victims of colonialism, assimilation, and discrimination, much of that identity has been lost.
An Ainu woman named Chiri Yukie wrote down some of her people's oral traditions into Japanese because, as a child, her people were being displaced by Japanese settlers in Hokkaido. Her language was disappearing, so she (ironically) saw translating the stories into Japanese as a way to preserve them. She died at age 19.
Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.
For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.
I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.

first time I ever went to the animal shelter and picked out my own animal was surreal. we had so many animals growing up but we never picked out any of them. and sure that’s normal for cats. they just showed up and we adopted them. but it didn’t end there.
we had a ball python because my mom was on a walk with her friends, saw it on the ground (this was Ohio) said “woah! that’s not native!” and put it in her purse. we advertised but never found the owner so we kept the purse python.
we ended up with a corn snake during a hurricane because my mom went out to get one of the cats and the corn snake was so little it came blowing through the air like a branch and my mom reached out and grabbed it out of the air to save it.
actually the point of this post is lost because I typed this far and realized the universe was maybe just sending my mom snakes specifically.
