Feras is a good friend of my friend's Abby, Olivia, and their mom Hope.

They're trying to raise funds to get a water filtration device/system for their community. The community is dangerously/near-LETHALLY low on water. Please send even the minimum amount donation. It adds up and it's so urgent.

Just got off a video call with Feras.

Good news. His camp was delivered a small delivery of water so they are able to drink a bit to tide them over til we can raise enough for filtration and I'm crying happy tears because I was worried they'd die of dehydration. They still need a lot for the filtration and then Feras told me on the phone today that he wants to go to school in Egypt when he can. He said school starts in 9 months and he has 6 months til registration is needed. He's made it a long term goal to be able to make that happen so I'll likely be fundraising alongside friends for him long term.

I could hear the IOF drones in the background. He's staying so hopeful and I don't want to ever dash that hope. He's the most caring human I've met, when he heard that I have chronic fatigue and had to go because I was crashing hard, he immediately insisted on me sleeping and was so so kind and protective. He's so open and honest and calls me and Abby and Olivia sisters and we love him so dearly. It breaks my heart how much he's lost and how much he loves despite this.

Let's get one thing straight: Israel was also killing protestors. Israel is killing protestors. Israel will kill protestors. All with complete impunity.

Arguing that "maiming protesters is in fact good" speaks volumes of the level of dehumanisation these Zionists have for Palestinians. They really expect us to bow down and be grateful that our occupier didn't kill us but crippled us for life instead.

With this same deplorable argument, burning ancient olive trees is ok. Destroying libraries is fine. Abducting children from their homes in the middle of the night is better than executing them in broad daylight. They are green-lighting genocide without even recognising it as such.

The way they believe that inherently we do not deserve other options like, you know, maybe not being shot at, or not being starved, or not being trapped in an open air prison - again speaks volumes of the levels of the dehumanisation of Palestinians.

As a reminder to everyone, the "shoot to maim" policy I was referring to became very prevalent during the Great March of Return which was a series of weekly protests held near the Gaza-Israel border demanding the end of the blockade and the return of the refugees. Between 2018-2019, Israel killed over 200 of these protestors, 46 of them were children. 36,000 were injured, 8,000 with live ammunition.

Also shows they have no understanding of what goes on in Gaza. People cannot travel outside of Gaza for medical care most of the time, so they're living with pain and longterm health problems specifically because of that lack of ability to seek care. And who is preventing them from seeking care? Israel. Because of the blockade.

Also you do not have to shoot Palestinians. That is not an action you *have* to do in your life.

She storms out of the illusion quite literally—it’s downpouring when she runs back to the camp, gripping the skirts of her robes as the mud squishes and splashes beneath her feet. Thunder growls overhead but she doesn’t look up, doesn’t look back. She’s sure he’s following her anyway, or will be. When she reaches the camp, she only pays her companions half a glance, her face still hot with contempt. The rain must have started just recently, she thinks. Most are scrambling to pack up their belongings, get their possessions under cover, shut the flaps of their tents to the rain outside. She bypasses her own tent, knowing it’d be only a matter of time before Gale appeared, and if she has to hear any more about the fucking Crown, she might burst.

Instead, she invites herself to the one tent she doubts Gale would ever dare approach of his own volition.

“I do not recall permitting you to come inside,” Minthara says to her when she steps in. She makes no moves to turn her out, though, and June takes that as a welcome enough, sitting on the cool ground and pulling her knees into her chest.

While the others may keep lanterns or small candles to light their tents at night, Minthara eschews fire of any sort—best kept for battle, she’d explained to June once—and instead relies on Lolth’s candles, chasm creepers, and other comforts of home to bring a soft glow to her accommodations. The distant familiarity brings June some semblance of peace, though she hadn’t lived in the Underdark since her childhood, and their recent trip there had been her first foray into her former home in over a decade.

“Do not touch the mushrooms,” Minthara grumbles, and June yanks her hand back from the glowcap she’d been absently tapping. “Now. What is it that you want?”

Update:

As everyone knows, the situation in Jabalya is dire. The IDF has entered the area, forcing all residents to evacuate or face being killed.

On the first day after the announcement to leave Jabalya, Ezzideen’s cousin, Mousa Shehab, was killed while preparing to evacuate (this was posted on Ezzideen’s father’s Facebook page). They have now lost 73 family members instead of 72. I hope they rest in peace and are in a better place now.

Prices have skyrocketed again because the Rafah border is closed, preventing any food or aid from reaching Gaza. Prices are now ten times higher. I am transferring the money to Ezzideen instead of saving it for evacuation because he and his family can no longer afford the cost of living. They have lost almost everything.

„Abdul Rahman Mousa Abdul Rahman Shehab, 29 years old, had evacuated from his home in Jabalya last night among the waves of displaced people seeking shelter. He spent the night with his mother at the Halima Al-Saadia School. This afternoon, he returned to check on the house and gather some belongings to continue their journey of displacement, but he was bombed.

There is no power and no strength except through Allah.

May Allah have mercy on you, Abdul Rahman, and grant patience to your parents, brothers, and sisters.“

ive been out all day idk if its been on tumblr at all but shit was fucking crazy today there were a lot of arrests and a lot of people getting attacked by the police.

this was my campus today. i managed to escape but many students and faculty were arrested after an attempt to expand the encampment. there was absolutely zero violence from the protesters and they were met with riot police from multiple cities. not that verbose right now but i have been avoiding cops for five hours and had rubber bullet guns pointed at me. i can still hear the helicopters circling from my apartment. i will be looking for bail funds and i ask that you help out/reblog if you can once they drop
