headcanons that will be coming up.
- cloud developing MPD due to the experiments and the trauma. yes, I will be doing my research on it, but also yes, I will be taking creative liberty because a) this is fiction, b) this is final fantasy, and c) I do what I want so fite me.
- talking about the similarities between mako poisoning and schizophrenia. I have dealt with persons that have schizophrenia literally my entire life, so I feel confident to the extreme when tackling this one. it will be based off a lifetime of watching it develop in a person, and then having to deal with it once it is fully developed. it may seem odd, but when I start comparing, I think you will understand why I found so many similarities. but again, because mako poisoning is its own thing, I will be using aspects as they truly are, but then I will also be taking creative liberty as I see fit.
- at the end of the Remake, the weird sort of space-universe looking place where Cloud and Sephiroth talk? I’m going to be expanding on that, because it gave me lots of ideas tbh.
- the Whispers will be a form of monster, they will have nothing to do with destiny. I’m not going to pretend I like how their butchering the game until it comes full circle and I know what their 100% plan is. until then, Whispers are a unique creature created by the events going on with the Lifestream. I’ll detail more in the actual headcanon when I write it.

okay, I’m going to say it. in the Remake, I like that Cloud turned hard, and I like that his first instinct in dealing with Johnny was to kill him, and I like that the reason he decided not to kill Johnn was purely because Tifa didn’t want him to, and I like that Tifa is afraid of what Shinra has turned him into and no longer knows who he is as an adult, and despite all the other stuff they’re screwing up, I hope they keep up with the Cloud and Tifa thing. because that right there is the kind of shock value that is important, that a great, kind, and caring kid went to this extreme version of the army and was changed for it. because even what we have today will change someone, you don’t just go into the army and not be changed, but then FF has not just an army, but one that weaponizes kids and experiments on them, and it’s in a world where it’s so normal that nobody is speaking against it. it’s normal. it’s just not realistic to imagine that he could stay the same after everything, that he and Tifa could just pick up like nothing, even if he wasn’t experimented on, but especially given the fact that he was, it’s impossible for him to be the same after as he was before, and I’m going to build on that, and hope that I'll find partners also interested in building on this with me, because this is what I crave, but what I feel like the general fans are trying to devalue. and I get it, it’s not a pleasant thing to think about, but we can’t just erase difficult truths, and the difficult truth is that while Tifa and Cloud are not able to have the same magic fairytale friendship as before, it doesn’t mean they can’t get to know who each other are now and build from that. the film Advent Children is proof of that, but they’re trying to erase the events of Advent Children by changing the entire story of the main game, and it’s just not cool.
am I the only one that wants to introduce a small-boob Tifa? big boobs are so impractical unless she has a hell of a bra on, but most of this artwork is drawn as if she’s braless, and if she was braless, she’d be miserable. I only have 36B’s myself, and even these girls would hurt a lot if I tried to do all the boxing and fighting maneuvers that she does, unless I was wearing a really good sports bra. it just seems like over the years her boobs are getting bigger and they need to be getting smaller.
