Moonpeeler
Drawn by me
*The Moonpeeler uses its knife to carve out a piece of the moon, leaving only a crescent. It is said to guide suicidal people to the safety of their home at night, and entrance them into peaceful sleep.

enough with the forcefem and the forcemasc, I’m trying out forcestrange
I’m gonna turn you into something unrecognizable and inhuman, and you’re gonna like it
Those days of blistering cold are almost always accompanied by a kind of light that is so pure and crystallized it feels like salvation, if salvation could feel like anything. There is a type of winter light, a cold light seeming warm, a light that, when beamed through a windowpane, feels like it clears whatever it touches, maybe even forgives it. It is a light that makes you forget death, a light that makes you wonder if death is even possible. It is a light like water, as beautiful as it is full of life.

Trying to find meaningful words to explain how it can be true that you can call to a spirit of a plant and have it answer, but should never ever assume that a given thing (a plant, animal, crystal, place, storm) is always, in and of itself, an enspirited being.
Sometimes they are. Sometimes they aren't.
I think I'm close with: "You should always proceed with the same caution and consideration you'd give another person, but you cannot assume that it is a human-like person, or place your personal safety upon that assumed human-like personhood."
Ask the tree nicely for a leaf/branch/bud/resin, and thank it politely (because tbh rarely do you get a "NO", but like... if you do respect the No). Don't get offended if it didn't even notice your existence, though.
Ask the storm nicely to fuck off, but do not assume that it WILL hear you, or that if it hears you that it will fuck off.
I'm halfway thinking "out loud" trying to get at something I very much want to write down.

This is a nice sign to look at. 10/10 for composition.
he looks so confident
don’t give me ideas
some design concepts
minor arcana concepts
Yes, the aces are zeros. Deal with it.
I'm nearly done with the first draft-- I just have to figure out what the face cards should be for the swords
minor tweaks
Maybe for the swords face cards, you could do notice/caution/warning/danger? They're not pictograms but there are four levels of increasing severity which matches with your other suits
i actually love this
They’re supposed to be a bit of a wild card, so it makes sense that their faces would be the most broad/most open to interpretation
