#i was born and raised in aotearoa but often get asked where i'm from or told i sound north american #often specifically canadian #and not just by random kiwis either #so far i've baffled my canadian lecturer and canadian dentist with my not being canadian #as well as a british tour guide #and i haven't had an answer for any of them besides me probably being autistic #but even so #baffling that this has apparently resulted in a specifically canadian accent given that i struggle to tell north american accents apart #i don't even think i consume that much canadian media?#so where am i copying it from #anyway i don't usually hear it until i watch recordings of myself speaking #it's like a jumpscare

I saw several mosaics depicting this motive and decided to try my hand at it as well.

Also, I just find Thetis to be quite interesting as a character. There’s gotta be something fundamentally Tragic about raising a child, knowing that he will most likely die very young.
