I finished the Taako drawing, so now the set of these are complete! I wanted to illustrate some of my favorite quotes from the podcast, since they’ve continued to stick with me since I finished it :’)
A young Jesse McCree was recruited into Blackwatch after Gabriel Reyes saw his potential and gave him a choice: join Blackwatch, or rot in prison.
@ the blacksmith who yelled “APHRODITE ON EARTH” when he saw kassandra: same.
(sees communist revolution out my window) (brushing teeth furiously for 10 minutes straight because i know thats the last time when im gonna use my own personal toothbrush)
*me banging furiously on the door* MARX SAID ITS MY TURN TO USE THE TOOTHBRUSH
y'all ever get hit with the realization when you’re in the middle of doing something like, whoa, what the fucking shit this is real life. like this is happening right now. not even when its something crazy i mean when you’re like doing the laundry or some shit
its like you get snapped out of autopilot and suddenly everything becomes physically clearer and louder
The opposite of dissociation
Attirb the sleepy, hoarder of Sousjes and plushies.
y’all wanna hear a take
the taz fandom claims to be inclusive and very homophobia/transphobia free but the way so many people treat taako and lup says completely otherwise. so many people treat taako like a walking gay stereotype and even more treat lup like Big Buff Wife Kill Me Step On Me So Violent which is incredibly trans misogynistic and honestly y’all need to cut that shit out ESPECIALLY if you’re not a gay man treating taako like that or a trans women treating lup like that. it’s extremely homophobic and transphobic and very transparent y’all only ever care about your Woke Points when you’re making taako more feminine than lup or lup more masculine/buff than taako.
To add onto this, taako is painted as a hypersexualized Gay man in every situation, which! Is a dangerous gay stereotype. Taako flirts with one guy in the whole arc, while many people write him as having sex with any guy that breathes. While many trans women choose to dress more “masculine” it’s telling when people refuse to draw Lup with an ounce of femininity. She is described as wearing a dress in a live show, she’s not afraid to wear a dress, but some people are afraid of putting a trans women dress because of, you guessed it, transphobia.
New Concept: We take live action movies and turn them animated — allowing for more art styles, more animation jobs, a way to break through the misconception that animation is for kids, we all get more cartoons, and ultimately replace the unwanted ‘animation-to-live-action’ genre
I love how the NPCs can’t keep track of when you’ve been married to one of their kids for like 3 years??
