It was a typical morning at the 99. Rosa sat at her desk typing about the latest case. Jake came up to her with a massive smile on his face. “Hey you know how we’re like really good friends?” Jake asked leaning on Rosa’s desk. She glared at him knowing full well that he wanted something. “I was wondering if-”
“Hey Babe!” Y/n came in grinning. She walked over to Rosa’s desk and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She waved at Jake and skipped off to her desk.
Rosa had a small smile on her face after the short encounter with her girlfriend. “How the hell are you two dating?” Jake asked confused forgetting what he originally wanted to ask Rosa. Rosa gave him a confused look.
“You two are complete opposites of each other. You always look like you’re gonna kill someone and Y/n looks like she wants to bake cookies,” he explained glancing over at Y/n who was talking with Amy.
Rosa thought about it for a second. “Suppose we are. But that doesn’t mean our relationship is bad. Not that it’s any of your business Jake.”
“Diaz, Peralta stop chatting about personal life and get to work!” Captain Holt shouted from his office.
Y/n and Rosa were in their apartment having dinner. “Hey Y/n,” Rosa started. Y/n hummed looking up at her. “I’ve been thinking about our relationship and how different we are.” Y/n’s eyes widened thinking the worst.
“I will always love and protect you no matter what, it’s just-” Rosa paused. “I may not always be there for you. What if you get stabbed and can’t defend yourself? How can I live knowing that I could’ve stopped that.” Rosa paused once more. “So I was wondering if you could take self-defense classes from me?”
Y/n breathed a sigh of relief. Rosa looked confused. “I thought you were going to break up with me!” Y/n exclaimed putting a hand to her chest. “Break up with you? Y/n you are my honey bunny sugar plump, I would never break up with you, I love you!”
Y/n began laughing at the nickname. “Don’t tell anyone that I called you that.” Rosa said sternly. Y/n simply smiled. She got up and hugged Rosa tightly. “I love you too my honey bunny sugar plump.” Rosa laughed and kissed Y/n on the forehead.
