If there’s a human who thinks woman cant/don’t like Marvel and/or comics and their cinematic adaptations, that person needs a serious reality check. I am a 23 year old female. I have an ever growing comic collection (at majority of which is Marvel) and I visit my local comic shop every paycheck. I have a collection of Funko Pocket pops on my desk which includes every Avenger and Civil War character I have been able to find (I only need two more, I believe), and i spent $95 on a Winter Soldier funko because it was vaulted before I ever got my hands on one and someone sold theirs online. I have a mini Mjolnir hanging from my rear view mirror to always keep me safe on the road. I own a copy of almost every Marvel movie that exists and am constantly watching a Marvel show or movie, even if it’s just playing as background noise. I sleep in a t-shirt with a Marvel character(s) and find excuses to wear those shirts in public when I’m not at work. I think it’s safe to say I don’t just like Marvel- I like, breathe, and dream Marvel, and I know many women like me on this website that have that same love. WE IN DIS BITCH. (And FYI: my husband is not a marvel or comic fan. Everything he knows is solely because I have explained it to him. None of my previous boyfriends were interested in marvel or comics at the time of our relationship. My parents have never owned a comic or watched a Marvel show/film unless I suggested it. My passion and love for Marvel and comics is solely based on my own curiosity and interest, it was never because of a boy or because it was cool to my friend group, because I’m really the only one I know in real life. So to the asshats who always say “you only like *insert ‘boy’ hobby here* because you want to impress a guy or because you want to look cool” FUCK off, I like this shit cause it makes me happy and because these characters do more for me than you could ever hope to, and I know so many amazing damn women on this site who feel the exact same way!)

In fanfiction there is a difference between being a good writer and a popular writer. 

Just because you can write a well-structured story with dynamic and consistent writing and characters doesn’t mean you will be popular. And sometimes stories that have disorganized plots, mediocre writing, and/or OOC characters will be held up as the greatest things to ever exist. 

Just because your writing isn’t popular doesn’t mean you are a bad writer. Don’t ever compromise who you are, who your characters are, your plot, your writing style, anything for the sake of readership.

There are popular writers everywhere. But there are only so many good writers.

I needed to read this today. I’m guessing maybe others do too!

i’m a relatively new side-blog, and i want to start writing fanfics again! i used to write a lot of fanfics back in 2016 but went into a hiatus, but now i’m wanting to get back into writing! however i’m having a hard time getting inspired, so i’d really appreciate some requests! here’s my faq (the things i will and won’t write will get more specific over time, but for right now since i haven’t written in years, if you have any questions please just let me know!)

What is it? I mean, yes, but what is it?

Honestly, I have no idea. If we do the Book of Prompts, do we want one prompt a page so there is room to write stories, or do we want a massive collection of prompts? Or something like Wreck This Journal but with prompts?

My instinct is to agree with this, but like, when I really think about it…

No money, no credit cards, identification is all vocal/fingerprints/retinal, so no wallet.

Again, doors are voice activated, or just unlocked by entering a code.  No keys.  

Communication devices are tiny and stick onto clothing starting in Next Gen.  TOS had bulkier communication that they carried around or kept in, like, packs and stuff, so the arguments for pockets is a little more valid, and if I remember correctly, those costumes did have pockets, tho I could be wrong about that.  But anything post TNG, the point is moot anyway.

Tricorders and phasers are really the only thing anyone’s carrying around, and that’s usually on away missions where they’d be bring their packs/holsters or just have them out.  I mean, who wants to stick a phaser in their pocket?  

So, yeah.  There’s not much little stuff people need to carry around everywhere.  And if they are preparing for a longer journey or want to bring bulkier things, well…just bring a bag.  It fits more anyway.
