Hey there, everyone.

I apologize for just disappearing ages ago. A mix of technical issues, mental health, and just being too busy has been preventing me from playing much. I keep starting new projects, but I never get far enough with any of them to post anything.

I have grand plans for TS2, but the loading times/crashing are unbearable, but I physically need tons of cc, so there's little to be done about that. As for TS4, I still think it's fun, but can't keep my attention for long since I'm not able to play a themed game the way I'd like to. There are many issues I have with the game, but the one thing that would make it a lot more playable for me personally is if I could just make bigger households. Like if I could just make a little village on a single lot and ignore all the other areas in the game. Or an underground fallout shelter. But that doesn't work with a maximum of eight sims.

He tries to socialize a little, but it doesn’t go too well. Maybe because he walked out with his new jeans in a bag rather than just putting them on straight away. Anyways, as soon as he arrives back “home”, Akio finds himself a job as some sort of sports mascot.

Despite the poster of a lady in nothing but her underwear suggesting a certain openness to visible skin, Akio is politely asked to try on some trousers quickly.

The first thing he does is try and get himself a pair of trousers. Coincidentally the neighbourhood’s only community lot happens to be a small second-hand clothing store.

Akio’s (now ex) boyfriend broke up with him this morning and kicked him out. So now he’s left to his own devices with next to no money, only his most essential belongings, and his goldfish Jerry.

Sorry for ignoring everyone in my notes and inbox. I’ve not had much time, and what little I did have I spent on setting everything up for a rags to riches/legacy thing set in @psychosim Harbour. I’ve played for little more than an hour, though, because the game keeps crashing even more than usual. So while I don’t know if I’ll ever properly continue it, here’s a handful of posts.

Sorry about the very awful quality, just playing around in build mode.

But I kinda want a whole neighbourhood like this now, with loads of mismatched little houses all thrown together.

10 Random Questions

Hey there! Still can’t be bothered to deal with the malfunctioning queueing system, but here’s some non-sims stuff that @mrslandgraab tagged me in. Spoiler: I’m not going to tag anyone, mostly because I’m not sure who’s done it already.

1. If you could travel one place in the world where would you travel?

I’ve not been able to get to London in far too long! I keep thinking I should go to a particular shop, park, etc. only to remember that they’re in London and I’m not. I also really want to visit Paris again within the next year and a half because after that I’ll be too old to get into museums for free.

2. What do you do in your free time away from sims?

Same as everyone else, apparently: Play other video games and D&D! I also do watercolour paintings and write poetry on occasion. And I just started doing collages again and it’s very frustrating that I’m not very good at it (yet).

3. What other games do you play besides the sims?

Mostly Fallout (3, NV, 4, 76 and recently Shelter) and sometimes the free games from Epic Games. Honourable mention to The Last Door which I replay in its entirety about once a year because it’s fantastic.

4. How tall are you?

Not very. I’m just under 1.60 m which, according to Google, is about  5' 3".

5. One random interest of yours?

I’ve got a couple small trees on my balcony, and I can’t stop myself from collecting seeds outside to plant when I get home. So I might eventually end up with a whole forest. Does that count as an interest?  If not, then, uuh, unicorns.

6. Current favourite bands or artists?

Not a band or artist, but recently I’ve been watching (and listening to) a lot of musicals, so I guess that sort of counts. Apart from that I’ve been listening to Moes Haven on my last few trips to the supermarket and back.

7. Something you’re looking forward to?

Being rich and famous. Also the day that all my cats finally get along.

8. Current favourite films?

I can’t think of anything at all. I’m kind of bad at films, and whenever I try to think of favourites, I only come up with ones that are either musicals or musical-adjacent.

9.  What food could you not live without?

Pasta. Were it not for pasta, I’d have starved long ago.

10. Favourite series (book or movie series)?

So just looking at my bookshelves, the only proper book series I’ve read are the Vampire Chronicles, the Hitchhiker Trilogy, Harry Potter, and a few other childrens’ series. I’m also going to count Shakespeare’s history plays which are great. As for movies, I can’t think of a single one other than the Sharknado series (which I’m not caught up on, for shame!) (unless The Hollow Crown counts. I don’t even like it all that much, I just can’t be bothered to reread several plays whenever I miss my boy Henry VI. And now I really, really want to rewatch the whole thing, god damn).

My first skinset!

These are edits/recolours of @poppet-sims‘ edits of @lilith-sims‘ Feathers skins. I used @mayberries‘ birthmark PSD. All skins are townified and geneticized to match Poppet’s set.

There are two little sets with four skins each.

Pale Dust, Rose Kiss, Sunset Rose and Moonless with natural-ish marks.

Unnaturals: Townified / Detownified

The four default colours with colourful birthmarks.

They are not perfect. I am not particularly patient or good with this kind of stuff. But they’re good enough for me and I’m not going to work on them any longer, so I thought I’d share in case anyone else has use for them. The darkest colours are a little pixelated and the birthmarks on babies and toddlers aren’t positioned correctly. But, as I said, I can live with it. I’ll put a toddler picture under a Read More.

Four years later there’s finally detownified versions of these!
