Posted on twitter, I temporarily lost my short tfa comic I made back in 2019 (cover was done in 2020).

Past me had put them ‘safe’ and completely separate from the cover board so I turned everything upside down to find them, and I did, phew. Now they’re definitely in a safe place.

I’ve learnt many more sequential skills since this practise comic but it’s still very dear to me. I hope one day I can finish the short sequel.

im very excited to announce something ive been working on with my friend ari (@bunnihops) to collect all resources on tfp: The Transformers: Prime Archive hosted on filegarden, is a fandom resource for all things related to the 2010s show. unfortunately, it isnt widely accessible on mobile. note that this is still ongoing, and the archive is not complete. if you have any additional official material, such as promos, videos, concept art, etc. throw them my way! all future posts regarding the archive will be tagged as #tfparchive. thank you so much to this lovely community for making something like this possible, a lot of members here on tumblr were great resources. edit - as of april 2024, the archive now contains full OSTs, full comics, 3D models, DVD bonus commentaries, and more. thank you so much for the support on this project, although i add every file and update myself, a lot of you have been wonderful in providing me with more material!

For everyone who wanted their own sick tfp merch!

Printable movable Soundwave model is here >:D

The person who made this figure wrote a full manual on how to make it, and as a Transformers fan I feel it is my sacred duty to spread the word.

Also. Just..JUST LOOK AT HIM. ISN'T HE THE COOLEST SOUNDWAVE FIGURE YOU'VE EVER SEEN?

hot artists don't gatekeep

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

OMG, that Height Weight Chart is magnificent!

Pick a height, pick a weight! You can see what a person could look like!

...I would also like to remind folks of this wonderful ad from Australia several years back, which showcases how weight is NOT tied to any one particular height:

Note: These ladies all weigh the exact same. (I think it was like 165 pounds?) They are all reasonably fit and healthy, too, fully capable of handling daily life tasks. Some may have invisible disabilities (either now or later), but if they can all change into the same outfit for a photo shoot (at whatever pace it may have taken), they can handle life.

And honestly? That's all you need to consider.

Mix it up! Use different body types!

This goes for writers as well as artists.

Rodimus doodle-turned-neat sketch. Big feeties are the best.

Rodimus was winning the poll I put up here last time I looked, so I chose him to doodle in a Patreon stream session tonight. But Misfire is catching up now, I wasn't expecting him to, considering it's been, what, 5 days already.

If someone else beats Rodimus at the end of the polls run I'll doodle that character, too!
