Simon | 18 | Vampire Would dying get me out of this conversation?
Avatar
Raphael resisted the urge to sigh with relief, never ever ever wanting to have to give someone a sex talk, especially when he had exactly no wish to himself. He narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows. “Daylighters are a myth. Why ask this question now?”
Image
“There’s a name for it?” Simon said ignoring Raph’s question. “Where can i find these myths?”

Raphael was no mentor, so he didn’t actively want to participate in whatever this conversation was going to be about. Arms crossed, he held an air of disinterest. “If this is about vampire sex, I don’t know how it works, I don’t want to know, and if anyone, you could ask Magnus for tips.” He sincerely hoped that wasn’t actually what Simon was going to ask about.

“Woah, okay, no. I’m good on that, thanks.” Simon said now slightly uncomfortable. “I want to know about any...is it possible for a vampire to walk in the sun? Are there are myths or something?”

Raphael approached Simon, with an odd feeling in his gut. There was something off about the daylighter, and the clan head had a feeling that it was about the nightmares. It always was nowadays. “Simon.”

Simon shifted slightly at the sight of Raphael. He was clean, so as far as Simon could tell, he was the real Raphael, and not the one he spotted in his night mare. “Are you real?” he asked hoping the answer was yes. “Then again, why would you tell me you’re not...How is my family?”

Blood. All Simon could see was blood. It was on his hands, his feet, his clothes. He couldn’t stop seeing it as he walked around, unsure what was real. He knew that the blood couldn’t be real. He, he would never. He tried to remain calm, sitting patiently, waiting for them to show up. Maybe someone could give him answers.

“Sure” Izzy smiled, taking his phone carefully before she added her number into his phone, setting her own contact name as Iz <3 before handing it back. “I’m free most of the time so just let me know..oh, and I’m Izzy, by the way” she explained with a light laugh, unsure if he even knew that seeing as she couldn’t recall them talking before.
Image
“Simon,” He mumbled taking his phone back and looking over at Izzy’s name. He quickly sent a message to her o his nae so she could have his number later on. “I’ll uh, text you sometime,”

Raphael gave Simon a Look. “What, like become a vampire? I don’t think that’d be the best plan when you could just get a genius to tutor you. Gives you a chance to spend time with Izzy, since you can’t stop staring at her. Maybe that’s the problem?”
Image
“Now I might willingly die for that women....”Simon said glancing over to her. “But she would just stake my heart.”

Raphael’s brows were still furrowed from the completed equation, which he was trying to figure out in between talking to Simon. “It will look good for college, and you’re usually a genius, so I don’t understand how you’re not getting it. Aren’t I the one supposed to ask for help?”

"Ask me about English or Biology, just never math. Sometimes I wish I could just like die for a bit to get out of this class." Simon joked tiredly resting his head on his palm.

“We’re in a sinking ship my friend.”

Do you know anyone who gets this? Maybe they could tutor you? That uh…” Ragnor snapped his fingers until he got it. “That brainy Lightwood darling? She knows everything.”

Simon smirked thinking about Izzy. She was smart and way out of Simons league. "I'd have to win the lottery for that..."

Izzy shook her head again gently, giggling as she gave him a knowing smile. “You know, we can always study together sometime if you wanted?”
image
Simons pencil snapped as he was offered to study. "That'd be great!" He said shyly smiling and reaching into his pocket and grabbing his phone. "Can I um get your number?"

Turning to look to her left, Izzy smiled softly, shaking her head. “Here” she spoke gently, reaching for his notebook before she wrote the equation out again neatly in her red gel pen. “It’s really important that you remember to move this first-” she explained, circling the number before her gaze returned to him. “That should hopefully make it a little easier?”

Simon looked at the paper. He understood what she did, but still had no idea what to do next. "Yep!" He lied. "It all makes sense now..."

Raphael shrugged, “Nunca. None of this makes sense at all. What’s a parabola anyway?” No one ever claimed that Math was his strong suit.
Image
"I knew it shouldn't have signed up for this. But instead I let my mom convince me it'll look good for college," Simon vented crumpling up his homework.

Being a snooty little shit, Ragnor scoffed. “How do you not get this?” After a moment of pompous staring, he broke out a smile. “I think I may be more lost than you are.”

Simon pretended to laugh along with his classmate although he felt mildly uncomfortable. He wasn't sure if he was joking or not. But Simon laughed and hoped for the best. "This class isn't going to end well is it?"

There wasn’t many things Simon was bad at, but math was one of them. he sat in class panicking over the homework he didn’t do. He turned to the right and whispered “Hey, do you get this?”

Alec always felt such a high whenever Saint Francis Xavier’s won at debates. Poor Blessed Trinity didn’t stand a chance against them. Reaching for a bottle of water, he took a sip before jumping off the stage and scanning the crowd.

“Hey, there’s gonna be a party at my house to celebrate the win. Are you game?”

Simon was shocked. He pushed up his glasses and stuttered a 'sure'. He was just a team member of the debate the debate team and he was sure it was common courtesy to invite him but he was excited non the less.

“Should I bring anything?”

The way Simon was looking at her made her stomach begin to turn at the thought of even more bad news, but what she actually got brought a huge grin to her lips. “Wha….how?” she asked, laughing in almost disbelief as she shook her head. Daylighters had been talked about in myths, but there had never been any evidence that one had existed. “But what if it doesn’t? Simon, this is a miracle!”
Image
A slight smile crept on Simon’s face. “I guess you’re right.” Simon bit his lip thinking about his opportunities now. “I could...take you out on a real date now? No time limits?” He asked trying to hid his nervous enthusiasm, if that’s even possible. All it took was for Izzy to say one comforting thing dor Simon to feel okay. And that’s all he needed.
