Happy MerMay everyone! Today I posted the first chapter of my NieYao merfolk fic (with a side serving of XiCheng and some ZixuAnli).

The story is inspired by this drawing I did a while ago. :)

Hey guys, did you know that it's world penguin day today? And some of you might know that I love penguins a lot! Some of you might even remember this pride penguin series that I did a while ago. I never posted them all together so here we go. The whole collection for you to enjoy. Happy penguin day, y'all! :D

I've been going for koi fish mostly in the past for mdzs characters and then I kind of just did whatever elements of fish looked pretty and slapped them together. So this was a fun challenge! I found a very much Jin coded tropical fish and an amazing picture of a leopard seal in motion that immediately inspired me. So have these sketches! Thank you very much for the prompt!

May I have some more cute prompts to get me through this annoying art block please? I am tired of my brain going nope... Maybe some merfolk prompts? May is ahead and I am stuck on the picture I got started with because it's way too complex, aaargh. Help? ;_;

I am once again asking: Is it May yet?

So back in 2021 I drew a NieYao picture for Mermay that featured Meng Yao saving Nie Mingjue from drowning. You can find it here! This is what happens right after the rescue: Nie Mingjue saves Meng Yao from this tiny pond in Koi Tower where his father has kept him since his mermaid mother gave birth to him and a lot of things and stuff happen of course. (Yes, I have the whole plot for a multichaptered fic written down already...)

Today I finished another artpiece to go with my fierce corpse Jiang Cheng AU. :D

This drawing is part of my fierce corpse Jiang Cheng au in which Nie Mingjue gets to have Fairy as his fluffy protector. :)

My mind is still stuck in my fierce corpse Jiang Cheng au in which Fairy ends up being Nie Mingjue's good doggo. So have both of them napping underneath a tree! :D

So this ask has been sitting in my inbox for a while now and since I finally finished the new chapter today (you can read it here) I thought I'd celebrate by trying to draw some art for it and why not listen to your song rec for inspiration? Now. I have been listening to this song for a solid two hours and I have been drawing this. Boy, have I been drawing! And then I sat here and bawled my eyes out like a little baby because you know what?

I have been stuck in art block since October. That's 5 months now. And finally. Finally, I felt like coming home after so long. Please, I need you to understand how much this means to me. I have finally drawn something that made me fall in love with art and my actual own skills all over again. I have drawn something I desire to colour properly. And I can't thank you enough for triggering all this by sending this ask.

So yeah. Whew.

That line from Inkpot Gods from The Amazing Devil has been doing things to me and throws me straight into ChengXian feelings whenever I hear it. Because Wei Wuxian never quite really made it back from the Burial Mounds now, did he? Someone needs to come and talk to me about all this please and thank you.
