“No matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra.” - Carrie Fisher (October 21, 1956 - December 27, 2016)
sometimes star wars is unsubtle in a bad way and sometimes luke skywalker is dragging his father’s dead weight across the death star floor, sobbing from love and exhaustion
auntsoka
pot, kettle.
luke's absolutely got a habit of leaving out details that literally anyone else would think are really important

He can disney princess bond with animals. He's an orphan. He jokes about someone being dead less than 5 minutes after they die. He crawls around in vents. He lived with turtle people for a decade. He will fuck you up with or without a weapon. He is the goofiest man alive. He once made someone walk off a cliff.
Ezra Bridger, stay iconic.
A missed opportunity
not gonna say it. but he popped into your head didn’t he
It's interesting how Anakin broke every rule the jedi had and yet people still say those rules are why he fell.
You are so fucking right and you should say it.
Doubly so when they say breaking those rules is what saved him in the end. You know, selflessly giving his life for another in an act of compassion ? Arguably the ideal way a Jedi would go out ?
friendly reminder that george lucas confirmed this last bit! that anakin saving luke involved anakin ignoring what anakin personally wanted (to keep luke by his side and possess him) in favor of what was selflessly best for luke (saving him from palpatine's clutches even if it meant anakin would never get to spend any time with him). that it was an act of unconditional, unattached love. a perfect mirror to shmi's act of love in letting anakin go that began the prequel trilogy.
