i know that canonically, eric knew where jack was working and that he was from the evil company blah blah blah.

but there’s an angst to think about eric not knowing who he was meeting, just that it was a guy from an evil company. and this could be confirmed by how eric is happily telling his old best friend about meeting someone for Senator Reasons™️ and then he slowly realizes it’s jack who is the evil guy. the way he’s talking so fast and then slows down on his talking. the smile leaves his face. he’s face to face with someone he doesn’t know anymore and AHHHH. ANGST.

Wait wait wait wait did he KNOW? I assumed he didn't know who he was meeting and that he just put it together while talking with Jack?? 🥺🤔 I mean either way is good content 💯

i think it’s implied he knows because Eric says he knows what all his friends are doing, he just didn’t know why. but i choose to believe he didn’t know because that’s even more angsty imo.

Jack was in such a vulnerable place before he started dating Rachel and what he really needed was a friend or just some sort of comfort.. I don’t want to hate on Rachel bc her character is rlly just bad writing but that man was not in the right headspace to be in a relationship and someone should’ve stopped him 😞

I feel like Jack just felt so lonely and needed to focus his emotions somewhere else. also I think he truly wanted to be with Eric and Rachel was the closest thing bc of their competition

i truly blame a lot of it on michael jacobs and his weird “love for love triangles”. love the show he made but bringing a woman in and making her nothing but someone for men to fight over is so gross.

do you guys think that the people in the student union would’ve booed when they found out jeric weren’t actually gay? idc what any of them said; they couldn’t hide how they thought the two of them were gay together, but just imagine if they found out jack kissed rachel.

god, now I’m thinking about if the plant would’ve stayed and everyone tuned in to their lives. IF THEY SAW IT HAPPEN IN REAL TIME. everyone would be able to see eric’s heartbroken look before he walked out again.

and then now imagine Jack walking into the student union after his little break of grieving his dad and he’s met with people who he’s never met being like “I can’t believe what you did to eric” and Jack is like “I know I’m such a bad guy for not thinking about how eric feels about rachel” and then the people are like “who cares about rachel?? he loves you”

And long story short, jeric endgame with random people making Jack realize his feelings

jack said "good looking guy, might be some competition for the ladies........nahhhh" and then neither of them had game ever again

to make it even better, they went out with fem versions of each other. and then WENT TO BED TOGETHER.

i feel like i realized this very very slowly, and others probably realized this, but i swear the reason that eric left wasn’t just because he was in love with jack and rachel. it was because they lied straight to his face about it not meaning something.

you can even see it in his face when they’re saying it was just two friends comforting each other or whatever it was they said. he looks betrayed and upset that they’d just lie to him.
