Eh? If it shows up on your dashboard or on certain themes you'll see it, but it's very glitchy so it's not my absolute fav. I like it better than putting credits in the tags, tho. Tag crediting is my least favorite and probably most performative way to credit. It's more of a gesture than a point in the direction of the op cuz if the person doesn't number the tags (like #1 is glitteringstardust, #2 is whomever) it doesn't help at all.

tropicalslimes should’ve been taken down already, but they were up there because used to repost gifs, not just post videos. embedding from instagram isn’t any criteria to be on there and they already stopped reposting. thanks for telling us!

Stimmystuffs should be on the wall of shame imo. They don't make stimboards that often but the do. upload videos from instagram without giving the creators credit in the description. They used to give credit in the tags but it's been a while since i saw them do that and it's not really ideal either :/
he always gives credits in the tags unless he’s posting videos because the videos are directly embedded from instagram (meaning their source is insta and it shows up as an insta vid on desktop). i just went into his gifs tag and literally all of them have credits in the tags. it’s not as ideal as a direct link but like... it’s there. the only iffy thing is when he makes stimboards he just says “gifs by me” instead of like... the instas they came from. but thats not even that bad bcuz it’s not hard to find the gifs.

yeah lmao! most of the mods here (including me) are gifmakers and i know that i can spend a long time editing the frames, stabilizing, or adding effects, so it just feels like a slap in the face when my gifs aren’t credited. it’s super easy to credit and if you hate crediting so much just make the damn gif yourself! crediting the gifmaker is acknowledging that a person spent time putting a video into a format usable for boards. it’s polite and it’s necessary.

hey! thats really good of you ily2 that’s like.. super good!!! but yes reblogging boards without sources isn’t really the best, most (if not all) of us have stopped doing that because it just rewards users for stealing content. you don’t have to delete them, but just keep an eye out!
