wherein rindou haitani spends his nights and days thinking about the nameless stranger he met at a bar, with only her handkerchief to remember her by. just when he was losing all hopes of seeing her again, she shows up.

rindou has officially lost count of the number of sleepless nights he spent thinking about the woman he met at a bar from nearly eleven months ago.
it was too long ago that he nearly doubts his memory of it. damn, he’s not even sure if he can remember your pretty face as detailed as it used to be.
his recollection of that night is starting to blur out in his mind and he hates it with every bit of his being. the handkerchief you gave him so kindly is everything he has of you, and your scent has been long gone from it.
as time goes by, the more you slip away.
he even thinks he is cursed. for falling in love with someone he literally doesn’t know the name of. he sees his co-executives in bonten date whoever they want and jump from one woman to another, but here he is, all single and loyal to someone who probably doesn’t even fucking remember him.
but who can blame him?
it was the first time somebody has ever made him feel something other than lust and greed. the way he couldn’t take his eyes off you that night was pure.
you were just too beautiful and you were just making him feel so much at the same time without even doing anything to intentionally reel him in.
maybe it was the way you obviously felt your body react to him but tried to hide it in the cutest way. perhaps, it was because you left a shallow kiss on the corner of his lips and it left him wanting more and more. he already considered the possibility of being hit with a love potion but that’s unlikely.
he’s simply down bad.
let’s be real, though. he’s in bonten. he can easily describe how you look and have one of his men sketch out an image of you, and find out your name to end his suffering once and for all.
surprise, surprise! rindou haitani respects you too much to do that. he asked you for your name that night and you didn’t tell him. that must have been for a reason. he let you walk away from him without your name and he must live with the consequences.
pulling his connections may well give him your name and where to find you, but at what cost? he figures that if he wants a real shot at being with you, stalking you isn’t a good start.
but he’s getting desperate for the day to come when you would no longer just be a mystery, when he can hold you in his arms and not just in his memory.
