Important notice
Hey everyone,
After years of attempting to continue Hackbent, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the team can no longer keep working on this project. Our lives have gotten tougher and more hectic, and despite the constant support, the effort and stress to keep this comic floating is much greater than we ever expected.
Hackbent meant a lot to our team who worked on it. We poured our hearts into these characters that comforted and helped shape us into who we are now, and we had tons of fun continuing it when we could! We’re still ever so grateful to Alexis for permitting us to continue her story when it was initially canceled. So, it's sad to let it go especially after this long (and such a harsh cliffhanger!) We didn’t mean for this to happen, but as the old author had to depart for a greater future, it is now our turn to close the book on this chapter of our lives.
We leave you to our Discord server, which will remain open for the sake of anyone willing to revisit or talk about the comic. You can also access the team’s more in-depth thoughts on their time working on this project in the #announements channel, as well as a Google Drive consisting of our team's work for anyone that is interested. However, we have no plans on handing off the project to anyone else beyond this point, as we do not wish to burden the massive workload and narrative inconsistencies onto anyone else.
Thank you to everyone who supported this project from the beginning and we hope that our readers got to enjoy the little bit we were able to offer in the end. <3
