Alright- here we go. This is probably going to be a mess of my thoughts after watching episode 1 and episode 2. This all kind of spurned from me trying to deduct what the unnamed people possessors power is.

First off, it’s important to establish what we know:

1. Their power has to do with photos

2. They can possess people

..... and really that’s all we have to go off of. Of course there are little things that we can speculate on here and there but this is all that I have seen. I think what is interesting is we have only seen this villain possess people in present time other than Emma, who it was only see when Cheng Xiaoshi was in a dive. This is the anomaly. 

Another thing is, someone that sounds??? like Lu Guang when he is dying says “Your power is like mine” or something of similar wording. Now there is no reference to who this is talking to but it’s really suspicious.

Anyways, after red-eyed person throws Emma off the bridge and during the whole confrontation with Possessed Qiao Ling, red-eyed person says “This is your punishment for breaking the rules of the game. Now the game has been reset." Which at least at first I thought it was referring to Lu Guang but as I was looking deeper I really don’t think it refers to Lu Guang but actually refers to Emma.

First things first, why wouldn’t possessed Qiao Ling have just killed Lu Guang off the bat instead of nearly mortally injuring him. Because when Cheng Xiaoshi lies the SECOND time, at least from our perspective it looks like the aim is to kill Qiao Ling. So if Lu Guang was the punishment, why not kill him because literally no one was stopping possessed Qiao Ling from doing so. There is a lot more to this interaction that we are not seeing.

Then in the season 2 OP, in the first half when everything is in ‘reverse’ Emma shows up in reverse from the fall when the OP says “reset”.

Gestures to the similarities to what Possessed Qiao Ling said.

But then that brings up the point, if Emma was the punishment then there is more going on than only being able to take over people in the present???

And the second time Cheng Xiaoshi lied, red-eyed person was aiming to kill Qiao Ling at least from our perspective. 

Also it seems that red-eyed person doesn’t know anything before he possesses someone. Because unless ofc they lying red-eyed person doesn’t know Cheng Xiaoshi power, which he literally told Emma. So there’s that.

Everything is very confusing :)
