one of the established things about grisha is that they need to see the thing/person they're using their powers on.
what is so fascinating about Jesper, as revealed in the climax Crooked Kingdom, is that while he's untrained and not particularly power...he DOESNT need to see a target to hit it
they did this in the show too with his confrontation with Ivan (where he couldn't possibly have seen him around those sheets everytime) and when he closes his eyes when he shoots the last volcra in the train car
its just a really cool aspect of Jespers ability, something that seems kind of unique to him.
also as I typed this I just realized he doesn't use his hands? like every other grisha has to summon, or control with practised hand movements but jesper doesn't? he just shoots and the bullets go where he wants them to?
jesper is a totally unique grisha/fabrikator who, because of his mother's influence and little other training, uses his abilities in ways literally no one else does?!?! we have to stan
and i guess the implication is that jesper would be more powerful if he got training which multiple characters (wylan,nina) encourage him to do across books but I dont know if I want trained fabrikator jesper. like he's managed to manifest his ability in such a unique way? literally supernatural aiming abilities and he doesn't need to use his hands? I love that for him.

I see why a lot of you are defending and liking Grace Blackthorn because of Tatiana and her manipulation, and I get that, I really do. But consider Grace’s manipulation. Most of it had NOTHING to do with Tatiana. She forced Matthew to kiss her. That’s literally sexual assault. She had no reason to do it other than she had the power to. That wasn’t Tatiana. That was Grace. Just about everything she’s done to James? That damn bracelet? That’s all her. If she took a moment to stop and realize that telling the Clave or Will and Tessa what she knew about Tatiana’s/Belial’s plans for James would benefit literally everybody including her then James wouldn’t have that stupid bracelet on. She’s not doing it to protect James. She could have gotten away from Tatiana without hurting James and pretending to be in love with him, but she doesn’t think. Grace is in control of all of her own behavior and most of her choices, it’s not all Tatiana, and I can’t forgive her for what she’s done to all the characters, especially Matthew and James.
