hi my names kai and i shitpost in earnest | he/they 20s | ao3 -> cosmokid

god i never told you guys but a couple weeks ago at work i heard a guy say, and i closely paraphrase, "So I was out with my partner--republicans hate it when i say that. My heterosexual partner Jessica--" and i was straight up crying before he finished his sentence. fully diegetic convergent linguistic evolution live in the workplace

"thats her name heteroooo jessica thats her name folks thats what we call her hertero jessica"

So many people who claim to care about trans issues will see conservative transphobes rave about "cutting off healthy breast tissue" and "girls mutilating themselves," rage or clown on male pregnancy, constantly share post-op photos of top surgery scars and phallo skin grafts to illicit outrage, transvestigate male celebrities to "prove he's secretly a woman"--and then turn around and declare that the Right forgets that trans men and mascs exist. I'm so tired of it.

had to highlight this reply bc so many people don’t realize that there are a lot of things that conservatives don’t even need to ban us from bc we were not allowed access to those things in the first place, either like literally legally not allowed or are de facto barred access.

this is a really great example because any trans person who’s on testosterone is going to be banned according to the rules and any trans person who hasn’t gone on t is going to be de facto banned because they wouldn’t let a “woman” participate in men’s sports. we are damned if we do damned if we don’t.

i love all the stupid Bad Kids bits that become canon like

riz has full body tattoos. fabian wears size 5 shoes. riz throws up when he gets too excited. kristen has handcuffs engraved with her and tracker’s initials. fig has fishnets made from the hairnet of the lunch lady that adaine murdered. gorgug tried to make a mechanical butt for the hangman to shit out of. fig is blocked on chungledown bim’s phone. adaine made coach daybreak shit his pants and then they convinced ragh that he shit his pants. kristen and tracker 69 so often with so little care to if someone sees them that the others have learned to knock on every door in the manor before going in. fabian briefly forgot riz’s name because he called him “the ball” so much. gorgug sung a song about not getting mad to his barbarian teacher. adaine, this prim and proper sweetheart, consistently chooses violence when dealing with her bio family. kristen created swamp venice. riz tried to get fabian to put dayne’s eye into his own eye socket. gorgug wears size 19 canvas shoes. fabian has pirate porn on his computer. fig disguised herself as a gnome and drove him to kill himself. gorgug wanted to ask a literal vulture if it was his dad, but the vulture flew away before he could. riz hisses at people. all of them are viral online for live-streaming a drunken shrimp party. what the fuck

I consistently forget Riz is COVERED in tattoos.

loved that episode where riz goes to hell and fully awakens his ocd

(this moment had my jaw on the floor btw i cant ever recover after this)

anyway getting to draw something with dramatic lighting is always nice tee hee

When my brothers were younger I wanted to teach about misogynistic tropes in media without scaring them off by presenting the topic right out the gate as serious and aggressive and intimidating so I pointed out one day that movie dudes usually only ever have three motives- 1. Wife, 2. Daughter, 3. Dog.

And now whenever we watch a movie together and a dude character is about to reveal their angst backstory we take guesses if it’s gonna be 1, 2, or 3.

Which is specifically the most fun to do in bad B-list action movies because you can say “It’s a 1” as it starts and then ten minutes later the ham-fisted Macho Man Tough Guy quietly mentions being married once and you can put your hands in the air and go “AYYY IT WAS 1” like your team just scored a sportsball goal

Truthfully though I think we need more 3’s

4’s and 5’s, even. Maybe even some 6’s

Anonymous asked:

batmanisagatewaydrug didn't set a single boundary. I sent them an ask containing something I thought they and their followers might enjoy. Instead of ignoring my ask or even saying 'hey don't send me stuff like this' they started mocking me in front of their entire audience. That's called cyberbullying btw.

When I said (angrily) "sorry I thought you'd be interested in that" they said to that same audience that I called them racist. Who's pissing on the poor now?

Anyway, continue this sycophantic parody blog.

you’re the one who decided to complain to the “sycophantic parody blog” don’t come to the circus if you didn’t want to see the clowns

Cyberbullying is a big word for “hey I went to someone else’s blog, sent them something on anon, got offended because I didn’t get a nicey answer, and even though I’m choosing step after step to keep coming back On Anon, where others know nothing of my personal information, I am being Bullied Online”

It’s the risk of the internet, you can be a cunt on your own blog, if someone clowns on your own post, or is fucking weird in your ask box; but the second you step outside into someone else blog/post/ask box you are not guaranteed any nice answers

hang on my evil doppelganger is out here just casually solving mysteries now re: who's been jerking their hate boner in my inbox for ten days and counting

and by solving mysteries I mean. gaining a very loose idea because they've been completely anonymous the entire time. for what it's worth I don't actually believe that it's possible to bully someone (cyber or otherwise) who is literally 100% entirely anonymous even by the standards of the internet

let's be fucking clear here. let's be fucking clear.

the puberty blockers and the supreme court decision are connected.

if the government says "trans women who are perceived as women are still protected" (and I pass over that judicial shitshow of a decision in silence) (i lied it's in the tags)

and that same government has withdrawn the tools to transition from the adult and children population, so that increasingly few trans women meet arbitrary visual categories of womanhood,

that is a government creating the conditions in which no trans women are protected.

Also, because misinformation is a fucking scourge:

The court has ruled that women's rights based on sex do not include trans women. This judgement does not change the legal protections trans people have against discrimination and harassment on the basis of gender reassignment. It also doesn’t mean trans people can or should be regularly excluded from women’s services and spaces. The law - and common sense - still says that trans people should not be excluded without a proportionate and legitimate reason.
It's unclear right now exactly how this judgement might affect trans lives. Trans women could be excluded from equal pay assessments, and there could be implications for service providers and institutions such as rape crisis centres, domestic abuse support services, and sports clubs. There could also be consequences for intersex people who do not fit into the binary categories of biological sex.
However, it is too early to say how service providers and the government will interpret this judgement. Ultimately, people who want to exclude trans women from services and institutions will likely feel empowered to do so, but services and institutions that want to include trans women will not be restricted from including them.
There have been some claims in the press and on social media about widespread exclusion of trans women, or having to show a Gender Recognition Certificate to use women's services or spaces. This is not the case.
We cannot say how this judgement might influence policies and guidance in future, but we can say with certainty that it will not stop trans people from being themselves and living their lives.
The rights of cisgender and transgender women are fundamentally linked, and we know that the majority of people want to work together and help each other. We encourage everyone to look past the despair at this judgement and the divisive responses to it, and to continue to live and work together in solidarity and community.

This is Gendered Intelligence's statement. It nuances what I said significantly, and I think that whilst yelling and expressing emotion and expressing my fears was important, this is also important.
