Lyredy Week 2016 Day 1 - Crime/Capes

Lyredy Week Day 1 - Crime/Capes @lyredy-week

A/N: I’ve never written for Lyredy and have only really like them since Lyons reaction to her in Manga when he sees her in the Alvarez Arc :D They are so cute. Sorry if they are a bit OOC

Meredy walked through the lively streets of Hargeon the port town of Fiore, as her navy cape blew in the summer breeze the distinct smell of fish hung in the heated air both suffocating and revolting anyone who was unlucky enough to take too deep a breath in.

“I thought I’d find you here.” The voice was unmistakably Lyons.  Meredy turned around on the spot her heart thrumming in her chest her eyes growing wide at the tall gentlemen-like ice wizard in front of her.  “Miss Meredy.” Lyon bowed to the Maguilty mage in his usual blue jacket and gold fancy trim.  “What a pleasure to see you again.”  He kissed the top of her delicate hand earning a small blush from Meredy.

“You’re as charming as always Lyon!” Meredy giggled she had only met the icemage a few times and to her surprise she found herself feeling secure and carefree around him even though she barely knew him.

“Ahhh!! Help!” A shout from a neighbouring shop called out ruining the moment between the two mages as they both sprinted over to the lady in hysterics. “I’ve been robbed!” She cried out as a figure sped past her knocking over baskets of fruits and vegetables from other stalls that splattered or bounced along the brick street during his escape.

“Don’t worry we’ll catch them!” Meredy assured the shop owner as she and Lyon ran down the street after the thief.

“He stole a very valuable necklace!” She called after the two wizards as they disappeared among the sea of colourful tourists.

“Where did he go?” Meredy spoke frustratedly when the pair reached a crossroads.

“He’s over there!” Lyon shouted pointing off to their left, a hunched figure was crouched panting in the shadows cast by the buildings.

“Let’s go!” Lyon nodded at the Maguilty mage, Meredys voice carried a serious respectful tone.

“Wait.” Lyon whispered to the pink haired mage.  “I think we should try walking towards him as normal as possible, then when we are close we can strike.  We don’t want him running off again at such a distance.”  As the icemage spoke Meredy couldn’t help but think how cool Lyon was even in this heat.

“Sure thing.” She smiled at him with her eyes closed.  She’s so cute.  Lyon thought as they walked side by side down the street towards the robber trying to act normal, but of course when you try to act normal you end up not acting anywhere close to normal.  When the two of them were almost ten feet away the robber looked up to them from his position in the shadows, his eyes narrowing before he jumped up.

“Rock avalanche!” The ground in front of the two mages arose in front of them in a blink of the eye before raining down on top of them, Meredy gasped as a larger rock came hurtling towards her shutting her eyes tight barely noting an arm wrap around her waist pulling her close, but the falling rocks never hit her.

“ICE-MAKE SHIELD!” A powerful voice boomed next to her filled with such presence as the air around dropped several degrees.  A few seconds later when Meredys heart and stopped resounding in her ears she looked up slowly to her saviour.  Lyons face was looming a few inches above her his black pupils capturing her red ones.  “Are you okay?” He asked his voice seemed detached from his body as she focused on the way his lips curved and moulded each word.

“Yes! Yes.” Meredy jumped sideways blushing, realising she had been staring at him as his hand moved from her waist to her back to steady her. “I’m fine.  Thankyou.” The maguilty mage looked forwards, the robber was getting away.  “We have to go after him!” Clambering over the rocks which were once part of the road the two wizards ran after the robber who had turned out to be an earth wizard gaining on him.

At the end of the road were some steps leading down to a green harbouring a bench and two oak trees, the earth wizard ran down the steps with nowhere to go.

“We’ve got you now!” Meredy shouted as she pounded down the steps closely followed by Lyon.

“You need to do the right thing and hand over the necklace.  You can’t just take other peoples belongings.” Lyon always spoke with an old tongue and graceful air.

“You ain’t got no right to tell me what is and isn’t right!” The earth wizard took an offensive stance, legs apart his cameo trousers blowing in the coastal air.

“Well then we’ll just have to take it back from you.” Meredy had gone back to her formal, stoic way of speaking blocking out her emotions, Lyon glanced sideways at her seeing her invisible mask.  “Maguilty Sodom.”  Her voice empty like a robots as she struck at her enemy’s pain sensors with teal magic swords.

“Meredy…” Lyon whispered feeling his heart squeeze in his chest at her unwavering facial expressions.

“Arghh!” The earth wizard crossed his arms in front of his face to shield himself.  “Earth fist!” He gritted his teeth managing to cast an attack through the shower of blades which struck him.  A fist flew up from the ground underneath Meredy knocking her backwards across the little park her body hitting the ground with a hard thud.  “Earth pillar!” A pillar rose up from the ground sending the Maguilty mage flying upwards violently, the small peak causing her back to bend unnaturally like the tip of a triangle as she screamed in pain.

“Meredy!” Lyon shouted to his comrade, this guys magic was like Sol’s an ex-Phantom Lord mage, one of the element four.  “Ice make Griffin!”  A brilliant half bird half lion flew through the sky destroying the pillar and catching Meredy, placing her on the ground before disappearing.  “Ice-make snow tiger!” Lyon stripped off his shirt as a tiger made entirely of ice and ‘snow’ leapt forward at the earth mage almost as powerful and fast as the real thing honing in on it’s prey, from the corner of his eye Lyon could see that Meredy was back on her feet making her way over as relief flushed through him.

The maguilty mage wandered towards the ice mage as he stripped off his shirt revealing his toned body, she had seen it before when they were fighting Invel at this very town, Lyon, Gray and to her surprise Juvia had all stripped (Juvia had kept her bra on.) Meredy had thought Lyon was hot then, but now watching him fight for her and way his muscles rippled as he cast his ice-make spell, the determination in his eyes, it made her heart flutter and quicken, he was devilishly handsome.  You could see his strength in his creations as the snow tiger powerfully pounced on the thief throwing him backwards into one of the oak trees causing it to quiver, knocking him unconscious.

“We did it.” Meredy whispered next to ice mage, she was struggling for breath as the wind had been knocked out of her.

“We did.” Lyon smiled at her mesmorised by the way the evening sunlight lit up her pink waves with an orange glow.  “How is your back, that was a pretty nasty attack.”  Meredy looked up into his soft black eyes.

“I’ll be fine, let’s just get the necklace back to the shop owner.” Meredy laughed trying to reassure Lyon who didn’t seem to believe her.

Meredy was intently looking at the necklace in her hands as they walked back to the shop after alerting the local wizard authorities of the robber, who turned out to just be an independent mage.

“This necklace is really pretty.” The pink haired mage commented after twirling it around in the remaining sunlight for the hundredth time, the pretty hot pink Spinel gem glistened in light refracting the suns rays.

“It compliments your beautiful pink hair.” Lyon said smoothly smirking at the pink that tainted Meredys cheeks as she looked at him like a deer caught in headlights, before smiling.

“Uh, thanks.” She averted her gaze still smiling to herself as the pair walked closer together nearing the little jewellery shop, the owner was stood outside, the little old ladys face lighting up when she recognised the two of them.

“Oh thank goodness!” Relief was laced in her voice as she spotted the necklace in Meredys grasp.

“Here you go.  One pretty pink necklace!” Meredy smiled at the little old lady as she handed the necklace over to her secretly sad to be parting with it.

“It’s a good thing we dealt with that crook, he was a wizard.” Lyon added.

“I cannot thank you two enough!” She said as she disappeared back into her little shop.  The pair watched her retreat before turning to each other smiling.

“How about we go and have dinner?  My treat.” Lyon had this way of talking which was so charming and it made it impossible to say no.

“Yeah sure.  I don’t think my back can take anymore crime-busting today.” She giggled, Lyon liked the way she laughed.

“Perfect.  Please excuse me for one moment.  I just need to ask the old lady something.” Lyon excused himself as he rang the bell and entered the little shop leaving Meredy outside against the burning orange sky. I think I might have found the one. She smiled up embracing the warmth of the sun feeling every piece of skin it touch fill with happiness.  “Are you ready to head off?” Lyon was back and Meredy wondered how long he had been there.

“Yeah I’m ready.” Her eyes met his and she felt giddy, even more so when he took her hand in his as they walked down the little brick road to their destination.

A/N: My first Lyredy! I found it hard to start with not really having much on Meredys character after the time skip but I hope it is okay nonetheless!

Lyredy Week Day 2 - Light/Dark

Lyredy Day 2 - Light/Dark

A/N:  This is my entrant for Lyredy Week(end) Day 2 - Light/Dark  -  This would be so easy to do for a Gruvia prompt! But alas it’s for Lyredy! Everytime I sit down and get into Lyredy I always have to go off to do something :=( it’s really annoying!  Anyway enjoy! - @lyredy-week

“Meredy wait!”  Lyon called out to the love of his life as she walked out the door of their house, the wooden door slamming shut rattling the beams and floorboards as the maguilty sense mage disappeared into the dark of the night.

Meredy inhaled sharply feeling the cold air hit her lungs like ice, it was the middle of winter, a cloudy night as the pink haired mage walked down the little cobbled streets of town feeling the shape and contour of each individual pebble under her flimsy slip on shoes, hugging her own waist as she wandered in a half daydream like state, tears falling gently down her cheeks. Eventually Meredy reached her destination, a large water fountain in the small park on the outskirts of the town, it was small and tranquil, never busy even in the height of summer, it was a hidden gem, that Meredy always found solace in it, possibly because it reminded her of her best friend Juvia - the girl who had given her hope and another chance at life.  Life. How fickle life could be.   Taking another deep breath in the maguilty mage ran her hand over the cold, smooth concrete before taking a seat on the edge.

Today was meant to be a happy day, Meredy and Lyon had been together for six years now, they had a house together, they were happy together, they were in love and she was sure that she fell harder and harder each day they were together, Lyon always made her smile, he would do little random things, he would give her flowers, take her out for dinner, buy her jewellery, hold her in his muscular arms and kiss her whenever he got the chance.    The memories of the evenings argument flooded her thoughts and more tears leaked out her ruby eyes, they’d had lunch at the little café around the corner from their home, then they had taken a walk in the crisp winters air before finally settling back at home under some blankets in front of the warming fire, Lyons arms wrapped around her middle.  Meredy had told him that she had a gift for him, he had one for her to, but being the gentlemen he was, he asked her to give hers first.  Meredy had gotten him some new cufflinks - snowflake cufflinks to be exact and a bottle of his favourite bourbon.  He had been overjoyed by the gifts he always was, pulling her into a passionate kiss which made Meredys heart flip and palms grow sweaty with anticipation by her next ‘gift’.  When Meredy had said that she had one more gift to give him he told her it was too much but Meredy knew she wasn’t technically giving it to him as such….

**Flashback**

“No silly! It’s not something I’m giving you as such!” Meredy giggled as Lyon looked at her curiously.

“Well then what is it?” He asked his eyes glued to her watching how the fire lit up her red pupils making them seem molten.

“Well.  We’re expecting…. A baby.” She tried to gauge his reaction.  “I’m pregnant, three months to be exact.” Lyon stood up almost instantly his gaze fixated in some far off place.  “Isn’t it perfect!  I can’t believe it!  I’ve always wanted a baby!”  She was ecstatic until she turned to Lyon who was still staring at one spot. “Lyon?”  Meredys heart rate picked up her stomach sinking feeling like a heavy weight had been dropped in it.  Wasn’t he happy?  Did he not want a baby?  They had spoken about it before and it had been something they both agreed they wanted.   But looking at Lyon now Meredy wasn’t so sure.  “Don’t you want a baby?” She whispered his eyes finally meeting hers.

“No…” Meredy now stood up facing him her fists clenched at her sides. “It’s not….”

She cut him off. “But you said you did want children Lyon! I thought you would be happy!” Tears brimmed in her eyes as her voice grew higher and higher.  “I just… I thought that… it’d be so perfect….” The tears rushed down her cheeks like mini waterfalls.  “We’ve been together six years Lyon…. I thought….” Her tears ceased, Lyon didn’t know what to do or say it was breaking his heart to see her like this, why wouldn’t the words come to him.  “Fine. Whatever.  I’m going for a walk.” She spat, it wasn’t like Meredy to get angry especially at him, but she really wanted this, she thought that he did too. Turning away from him quickly as more tears flowed she made her way hurriedly to the front door opening it as Lyons voice drifted towards her.

“Meredy wait!”  But she didn’t care right now, she needed space, slamming the door behind she’d ventured out in the cold to this fountain.  The wind blew harshly causing Meredy to shiver she should really have brought a jacket or something, this thin top wasn’t doing much to keep her warm.

Lyon ran his fingers through his hair as he paced furiously around the lounge  “WHY DIDN’T I SAY SOMETHING!” He slammed his fist down on the coffee table accidentally freezing part of it.  She’s pregnant… I’m going to be a father…  “I’m such an idiot!” He cursed, he should’ve told her he was happy, he should’ve told her he loved her and their unborn child, he should’ve not been so chicken. I need to find her.  Meredy was the love of his life, she was his one. They had such a perfect happy life, a baby would only make that even more perfect.  Grabbing his jacket the icemage left the house listening to the crackling of the fire as he closed the door behind him.

Meredy looked up to the sky to see some clouds parting revealing a beautiful starry sky.  The stars were twinkling beautifully it was hard to believe how far away they really were. Just like Juvia far away.  Juvia lived with Gray in Amefurashi town they had one little boy and another on the way, Meredy had consulted Juvia when she found out she was pregnant, she didn’t know whether to tell Lyon, that was when the girls had decided that telling him today on the anniversary of their six years together would be ‘cute’ and ‘so perfect’ as Juvia had said.  Meredy agreed and she had kept it secret hoping it would be as perfect as Juvia had imagined it to be.  The maguilty mage could really do with a hug right now.

“There you are.” His smooth velvety voice made her heart skip a few beats. “I thought I’d find you here.” He continued as he draped his jacket around her shoulders, his smell filling her nose making the butterflies in her tummy go crazy.

“Lyon…” She whispered as he settled down next to her, gently lifting her chin up to meet his gaze, her ruby red orbs meeting his soft dark ones.

“I love you Meredy.” He spoke the words slowly and carefully.  “I was stupid.  Your, our news, it caught me by surprise.” He paused taking her hand in his. “I just… it’s so perfect.” He chuckled. “Everything about you, about me since you has been utterly perfect, I couldn’t quite believe it.”  Meredy shuffled closer to him her eyes glistening as she listened to every word he said her cheeks growing pink, her skin prickling with heat.  “You mean the world to me.  I don’t ever want to lose you.” Lyon leaned closer wiping the last tear to fall of her cheek, their cloudy breaths of air mixing as he dropped down onto one knee in front of her never breaking eye contact.

“My gift to you.” He paused his heart hammering in his chest as he watched her raise a hand to her mouth her eyes shining.  “Will you marry me?” He smiled as he finished watching Meredys smile grow larger and larger.

“YES!” Meredy threw her arms around him as he stood up sliding the ruby ring onto her finger, its silver band was encrusted with heart shaped rubies.

“Now you can see why it was all so perfect.  Why I couldn’t quite get my head around it all?” He chuckled pulling her in for a short kiss.

“Yes.  I am sorry Lyon, I should’ve given you time to explain, to take it all in.” Meredy cast her gaze down.

“All is forgiven.” He smiled as her eyes met his, her pink wavy ponytail blowing in the winter air behind her.

“I love you Lyon.” She whispered as she pressed her lips to his feeling suddenly warmer.  “You are the light to my dark.”

LYREDY WEEKEND DAY: 3 FAMILY AU                          FANFICTION

Well it’s the last day and I’m dead. I’ve been writing nonstop and I’m super sleep deprived. Nevertheless I have finished yet another Fanfiction (This one not as good as the others)

Pairings: Lyredy and Gruvia

Summary: Family quality time!

Theme for today: Family AU

“Aaaahhh!” Lyon cried. Meredy put her hands in front of his eyes, shielding them from the gory view.

“It’s not even that bad.” She told him.

“Is this thing good for the baby?” He asked eyeing her inflated tummy.

Meredy rolled her eyes, “Lyon…” she groaned. “The baby isn’t born yet.”

“Yeah but what about the one upstairs?”

“He’s asleep.”

Lyon cringed as a man onscreen lost his head graphically.

“If you don’t wanna watch it we can change it.” Meredy told him. He turned to her his eyes full of hope. The hope died quickly and he forced a smile.

“If my beautiful wife wants to watch this movie then we’ll watch it.”

She knew he was lying through his teeth, Meredy smiled, leaning in to gently kiss her husband. Lyon lifted his hand running it gently through her hair.

“Mum? Dad?”

The two broke apart as if zapped. At the top of the stairs stood their son, pale pink hair tousled, looking groggy. Lyon stood up, quickly climbing the stairs.

“What’s up bud?”

“It’s late why are you up?”

“I wanted to see if my brother had come.”

the small child said. Meredy giggled.

“Not yet, but soon! Now back to bed.” Looking up at Lyon the toddler lifted his arms, a gesture for Lyon to pick him up. Scooping his son up, Lyon walked him back to his room. Meredy smiled returning her focus to the movie. Wincing as a cramp went took hold of her belly, taking a deep breath she rubbed her hand on her stomach. Another wave of pain crashed into her, causing the girl to let out a small cry. Attempting to stand Meredy froze halfway, something gushed out of her. A warm liquid trickled down her thigh.

“Lyon!” she called.

Hoisting herself up, Meredy headed towards the door. Lyon appeared at the top of the stairs, just as Meredy began pulling on her shoes.

“Mer?” He asked. “Uh…what are you doing?”

“Oh nothing,” she replied, grinding her teeth in pain. “Just heading over to the hospital.”

Lyon blinked.

“The hospital…?”

Looking over at the puddle on the couch, then back at Meredy, understanding filled his eyes.

“Oh…OH!”

Nearly tripping over himself he scrambled  back up the stairs. Meredy prayed he had gone to grab their son and the pre-packed bags. Hearing multiple crashing sounds from the upper level, Meredy sighed and stepped out the front door.

Inhaling the cool night air she tried her best to ignore the pain stabbing through her lower abdomen. The walk to the vehicle was long and painful, but Meredy finally made it. Sitting down inside she saw Lyon run out the front door. The bags under one arm and their son under the other. He ran like a madman for the car and hopped inside. Throwing the bags into the backseat, he buckled up the sleeping boy.

“How’s it looking over there?” He asked, panting.

“Gaahhhh! Lyon…DRIVE!” Wrapping the SE plug around his arm, Lyon Drove out of the driveway and into the busy streets of Magnolia.

“Lyon!…Why…aren’t…we…Moving?!” Meredy heaved, the pain in her stomach worsening by the second.

“I’m trying!” Lyon cried nearly in tears. Crowds of people had gathered in the streets for some unknown reason. Honking his horn again Lyon groaned and hopped out of the car. Meredy watched as he walked up to passerbies and asked what was happening. Wiping the sweat off her brow Meredy looked around, a streak of blue catching her eye. Opening the car door she yelled.

“JUVIA!”

The water-mage turned, looking for the source of the desperate plea. Spotting Meredy she froze, it took her just over a second to reach her friend.

“Meredy! What’s going on?” She peered into the car, taking notice of the bags and the sleeping boy.

“Oh my Mavis! It’s happening now?”

 Meredy nodded.

“We can’t get through the crowds and Lyon is freaking out.” Juvia faced the crowds, determination filling her clear blue eyes.

“You’ll never get through, Natsu destroyed some stuff around town and there is wreckage everywhere.”

Meredy groaned, from both pain and irritation.

“Juvia…Help!”

Scanning the crowds Juvia spotted her boyfriend and called him over.

“Meredy?” Gray asked.

“Yes, Gray it’s me!” She yelled. “Juvia how is he helping, GAH!”

Doubling over in pain Meredy felt tears forming in her eyes. She couldn’t take much more of this. The baby was coming, and it was coming now.

Juvia seemed to sense the same thing as she quickly gave Gray instructions. Meredy didn’t hear most of it, but she trusted her friend to get her help. She felt the vehicle began to move once more stopping once so that Lyon and Gray could hop in the back.

“Mer, you ok?” Lyon gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Don’t touch me!” She yelled slapping his hand away. She felt bad, but only for a second then the pain came back. She heard Gray snicker. She screamed in agony, looking over at her good for nothing husband. Lyon looked so helpless that Meredy almost laughed.

“Almost there.”

Juvia muttered. Slamming the breaks the car lurched forward.

“Watch it!”

Gray and Lyon said together. Glaring at each other until Meredy screamed once more.

Hopping out of the car Juvia ran to Meredy’s side.

“Gray, get the kid. Lyon get your wife.”

Meredy felt herself being lifted into the air, strong arms wrapped around her. Feeling a stabbing pain with each step Lyon took, Meredy sobbed.

“This is your fault you bastard!”

Lyon said nothing setting her down on some foreign bed. Inspecting the familiar surroundings, Meredy realized that they were at Juvia and Gray’s house.

”Why aren’t we at the hospital?” She screamed.

“Gray!” She heard Juvia call. Everything turned into a blur of colours and pain.

The kid was heavy. Gray sagged under the small child’s weight. What were they feeding him? Bricks? Throwing him over his shoulder Gray ran back inside. Tucking the boy into his bed, he ran back over to Juvia’s room, where chaos was happening. Meredy lay on the bed screaming in pure anguish, Juvia was barking orders, telling Meredy to breathe, and telling Lyon to get her some wet towels. The white haired idiot was running in circles obviously clueless as to how he could obtain said objects. Taking matters into his own hands Gray went in search of the towels.

Juvia was panicking. She had no idea how to deliver a baby. She had read a few books on the topic the last time Meredy was pregnant, but never had she dreamed she would have to play midwife for her friend. “That’s it Meredy, hang in there.” She encouraged. Meredy screamed, Juvia cringed at the sound. The pink haired girl was clearly in a lot of pain. “Lyon come here and comfort your wife Juvia is going to go check on Gray.” Slipping out of the chair she pushed Lyon down. The boy grabbed his partner’s hand and began citing words of reassurance.

Juvia ran out the room searching for her boyfriend. Spotting him, a dozen towels in his hands, she ran to him.

“How’s Meredy holding up?” he asked.

Juvia shrugged.

“Juvia wouldn’t know Juvia’s just winging it.”

Gray nearly dropped his towel stack.

“What the hell you mean ‘winging it’! Juvia her life is on the line here!”

Juvia nodded. “Juvia knows and she has a plan.”

“I hope you do” Gray said.

The two halted as they heard Lyon’s scream join Meredy. Exchanging a quick look the two ran back into the room.

“Gray! Juvia! HELP ME!!!” Lyon cried writhing around on the floor.

“Dumbass you’re not the one giving birth your wife is!”

Gray yelled pointing at Meredy.

Lyon screamed, lifting up his pale wrist which now had a glowing pink bracelet around it. Lyon looked at Gray with pleading eyes.

“Make her remove the spell!” He begged.Tears falling from his eyes.

Gray laughed,

“You probably deserved it.”

Juvia slapped Gray’s shoulder, hard.

“Gray-sama! Now is not the time to laugh.” Gray nodded and handed Juvia the towels.

Using her water magic, Juvia wet the towels and began wiping Meredy’s forehead and chest. Lyon screamed once more, curling up into a small ball. Sobbing he wailed,

“Meredy I’m sorry I take it back! This hurts way worse than all those battles!”

Meredy grunted.

“No way, if I’m gonna suffer…You’re coming down with me!”

Gray couldn’t help it, he laughed, it was just too funny. Juvia shot him a death glare. Forcing him to shut up. He walked over to where Lyon was thrashing on the floor. Taking his peer’s hand, Gray gave it a reassuring squeeze.

“What…are you…Gah!….Doing?” Gray grimaced.

“You have to be strong! What would Ul say to you know?”

Lyon screamed. “Who the hell cares?”

The hours passed slowly, as Juvia and Gray, helped the couple go into labour. At dawn, a baby’s cry could be heard.

“It’s a girl.”

A tired Juvia said, handing Meredy her newborn. Meredy’s eyes were barely open, as she gently took her baby into her arms. Lyon who had ended up in bed next to Meredy, peered down at the newest addition to their family.

“She’s beautiful…” Meredy and Lyon said together.

“Dibs on not telling our son he doesn’t have a brother.”

Meredy breathed, to tired to talk very loud. Lyon groaned, nuzzling up to his wife.

“What are you gonna name it?” Gray asked.

Juvia elbowed him. “Sorry, what are you gonna name her.”

Lyon and Meredy smiled together. “Where naming her Ul.” Meredy said. “Ultear.” Lyon finished.

That took a while to write! Three days of writing oh joy! I hope you all enjoyed my less than awesome fics. Thank you for reading them. I’m very tired at this point so I’m sorry if the ending isn’t quite clear or feels rushed. I had a bit of trouble writing the Gruvia this time (not sure why) but I was super inspired by @juvithewatermage‘s awesome art of them that I just had to incorporate them into the story. I am aware that Lyredy’s son did not have a name, I couldn’t think of anything…(my friend suggested I name him Lyme, pronounced Liam) I apologize for the typos.

Thanks again! and high fives to all you Lyredy shippers who saw this ship coming a mile away!

(Apparently I have to tag @lyredy-week sorry for not doing that before)

Ficlet: Lyredy - Capes and Layers

A/N: Dedicated to @blamedorange, @sparsyle, @blade-of-hope and @tbehartoo for the hilarious conspiracy theories about Lyon’s atrocious and mysterious fashion sense.

Slamming her hands on either side of his head, Meredy leaned in, invading the man’s personal space. Mostly, she did it because she lost her balance. and she had been attempting to right herself by grabbing her boyfriend. But what she intended and what actually happened weren’t quite the same thing.

And she was okay with that.

Because she was pressed up against a very alarmed, but also a very turned on, Ice Mage, who wasn’t sure what to make of the situation. At least his first head was; his second head was clearly not having the same problem, given she was leaning against him hard.

It was hard to keep her balance, and she was leaning against him hard, and he was thinking too hard, and he was definitely hard. There was a lot of hard in this scenario.

“M-meredy!”

Sloppily, she tried to put a finger to his lip because she just didn’t want to hear one of his… whatever they were. Those… things. The word wasn’t coming to her, but those long winded talks he had when his brain was spinning like a hamster wheel and his oh-shit alarm was going off.

This was not an oh-shit moment. This was an oh-yes moment.

Granted, she did miss his lips but just a little, stabbing him in the nose, but it had the desired results; his mouth snapped shut cutting off his excuses.

Fumbling with the strange clasp on his cape, her fingers couldn’t find the edge. After several moments of puzzlement, a fingernail caught on the edge, snapping it off with a soft click, sending the vampire cape tumbling to the ground. Great, now she could just pull off his shirt and…

“Lyon,” she blinked hazily, “Why?”

“Well, you see, I must be dress for any occasion…”

“No, stop, don’t care,” she mumbled, taking the second cape – a strange black thing with triangles cut into the seams – off a little more harshly than the first.

Now for the shirt…

“Again?” this time her voice was getting edged with both annoyance and disbelief. Under the vampire cape and the strange pyramid cape, there was a normal white trimmed uniform jacket of sorts.

With buttons.

Well, not anymore. She felt her buzz diminishing with each ping as they hit the floor.

“That was expensive!” Lyon yelped at the crass treatment of his buttons, which were now scattered around their feet. Meredy ignored his protests, her horniness being edged out by her irritation. This was ridiculous.

Now for the shirt…

“LYON! YOU ARE AN ICE MAGE!” she screeched at discovering yet another layer, and she hadn’t even gotten to the man’s pants yet. It was like one of those prank boxes your friends gave you on your birthday with a box in a box in a box. And then you finally get to the center and throw the gift in the trash because you’re done. “Why aren’t you melting?”

“Yes, but I do not wear clothing for warmth, Meredy,” he started matter-of-factly, her question turning his brain back on, and the literal answer tumbling out of his mouth compulsively, “Actually, there is a story behind how this happened and…”

That’s it; in the trash he was going.

“You are not a gift box!” she retorted, eyes flashing, fully more furious than flirty at this point.

“Ah, but I am a gift…”

Meredy’s unamused glower cut off the rest of his sentence, and he gulped slowly, pressing up against the wall. She wasn’t often cross with him, but he’d been on the wrong end of her temper enough times to know he was in trouble.

Her voice dropped, each word enunciated perfectly, “Put them back on, now.”

Lyon hastily did what she said as she stood back, arms crossed under her breasts in annoyance. He redressed a lot faster than the time it took her to undress him. Pausing to mutter about buttons and then to straighten his collar – the one she did like to tug on, don’t get her wrong, it was a nice handle to pull him down by – he straightened to look at her for further instructions.

“Okay, Mr. Stripper Ice Mage, you better make it up to me and give me a good show to make up for the killed excitement. And none of that weird throwing stuff. Nice… and… slow. Lots of fanservice… and I might give you a generous tip.”

Catching her meaning, he gulped again, looking far more excited this time.

He bent over to reach for his boots.

“Nope, not there,” Meredy purred, a wicked gleam in her eye, good humor being restored at his compliance coupled with a nice view when he bent over, “I want to see the booty shorts, so those stay on. Cape first.”

LYREDY WEEKEND: DAY 1 Crimes and Capes FANFIC

Pairings: Lyredy (obviously) and a bit of Jerza

Theme of the day: Capes and Crimes

Summary: I didn’t have much time to write this but I tried! Lyon and Merely have some fun!

(I can’t write summaries I’m truly sorry)

“Is Meredy home?”

Ultrear glared at the pale haired boy standing in the doorway. Closing the door rudely in his face she turned, heading back inside.

“Who was it?” Meredy asked, appearing at the top of the stairs. Ultrear groaned, stomping towards the kitchen.

“It’s your boyfriend!” She yelled over her shoulder. Hearing Meredy frantically run down the stairs to the open the door Ultear groaned once more.

Pulling the door open Meredy was greeted with an empty doorway. Running out onto the road she scanned it for any sight of Lyon.

There really wasn’t anywhere he could be hiding, their house was nearly in the middle of the nowhere, surround by large fields of grass. There was only one road and it was quite small. After all they were some of Fiore’s most wanted criminals.

Sighing, Meredy glumly trudged back towards the house. Heading through the open door, Meredy headed back upstairs to her room. A pang of disappointment turned her gut as she dragged her feet down the small hallway. Opening the door to her room Meredy froze.

There, sitting casually on her bed, an infuriating grin plastered on his face, Lyon.

“Hello, there stranger!”

His grin widened, showing off his brilliantly white teeth.

“I haven’t seen yo-“ He was cut off as the girl launched herself onto him, crushing him in a fierce hug.

“I missed you.” she mumbled into the crook of his neck.

Lyon blinked, not sure how to react. Smiling, he wrapped his arms around her returning the hug.

“Bastard, you never wrote.” She scolded.

Lyon chuckled, he’d missed the sound of her voice. The two had been really close during the war, fighting together, tending to one another’s wounds, they’d even executed a few unison’s raids. However after the war the two had parted ways and Lyon and been busy helping to rebuild the guild, and take jobs.

Finally He’d decided to ask Erza (who was dating Jellal) where he could find the Crime Sorciere hideout.

“I’m sorry.” He murmured into her hair, his voice cracking unexpectedly.

He felt Meredy stiffen, her heart pounding. Lyon felt himself blush, realizing the position they were in. He lay on the bed with Meredy on top of him, both had their arms wrapped around each other. If anyone were to walk in… Yet Lyon couldn’t bring himself to move out of her hold. He wanted to stay like this forever.

Meredy however, knew better, and slowly detached from Lyon and sat up. Lyon followed her lead and sat up as well at a faster pace acidentally bumping his forhead against hers.

“Tch, watch it!” Meredy hissed clutching at her head.

“You were in my way.” He told her, rubbing his temple. Looking at the girl, he noticed the tear silently falling from her eyes.

“Meredy are you ok? Oh my God! I’m so sorry, I-I didn’t…does it really hurt that much?” He rambled, extending his arm as if to caress her face.

“N-no,” she sniffed turning her face.

“I j-just missed you a lot.” She said angrily, not looking at him as she began to sob.

Lyon blinked, his cheeks dusted pink.

“Well then, how about we catch up tomorrow?” He asked. Meredy swiped at her eyes.

“Huh?”

Lyon smirked.

“Tomorrow, let’s go on a date.” He gave her a wink, and proceeded to jump out the window.

Meredy gasped “Lyon!” she cried leaning out the window.

“Town square at 2!” He cried over his shoulder, running into the distance.

“But…I can’t…” Meredy whispered to herself.

The next day Lyon stood by the fountain in the middle of the nearest town. He had no idea what the town’s name was and he didn’t care, his veins hummed with anticipation. The noises and people surrounding him were all a blur, as he scanned his surroundings for the pink haired girl.

“Psssst!” Lyon turned, searching for the source of the noise.

“Lyon, I’m over here.”

Lyon turned about himself again, feeling foolish.

His eyes finally landed on a cloaked figure standing in the shadows. Meeting the glaring pair of emerald eyes Lyon gawked.

“Meredy?” He cried in confusion.

“Shut up!” She hissed grabbing the front of his shirt, pulling him into the dark alleyway.

“What are you wearing?” He asked eyeing her guild cape.

“Idiot, I tried to tell you yesterday but you ran away!” She face palmed, making Lyon feel quite stupid.

“What?” He asked trying desperately to understand.

“Lyon you idiot, I’m a wanted FUGITIVE!” She yelled, then immediately clapped a hand over her mouth.

Looking to see if anyone had heard, Meredy sighed.

“Lyon…I…We can’t go on dates like regular people…I can’t be seen or it’ll cause a lot of problems.”

She looked at him her green eyes filled with sadness. Those were the same eyes that lit up whenever Lyon made a good joke, the same eyes that haunted his dreams, the same eyes that he loved.

“Meredy could you wait here?” He asked not waiting for an answer he dashed out the alley way and down the road.

Where had Lyon gone? Meredy stood against the wall, trying not to look suspicious. Sure there was nothing suspicious about a cloaked girl standing alone in an alleyway.

Suddenly a hand grabbed her shoulder. Jumping, and suppressing a scream Meredy turned, ready to run. A cloaked figure awaited her, Letting out a huge sigh Meredy exclaimed.

“Lyon?!”

He took off his hood and shot her a dazzling smile.

“By the gods you nearly gave me a heart attack…” Taking a handful of his cape in her hand Meredy asked;

“Uh…Lyon? Why are you wearing a cape?” Noticing her frown Lyon’s face fell.

“What you don’t like it? Now we match! No one will suspect anything no-”

He was cut by a laugh. He watched as the girl collapsed into a fit of giggles. Lyon stared helplessly lost as she fell to the floor clutching her sides.

“You Idiot…That’s even…worse!”She uttered between laughs.

Regaining control of her breathing, Meredy stood up,

“Lyon, I appreciate the gesture and all but…Two people wearing cloaks? That’s awfully suspicious don’t you think?”

Lyon blushed.

“I guess…” He answered, staring at his feet. Meredy placed a hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at her.

“I’m very sorry Meredy, I’m not sure what to do.”

Meeting her eyes at last, Meredy stepped towards him.

“I do.”

She closed the little space between the two, Pressing her lips onto his. Despite the fact that Lyon was an ice-mage, his lips were quite warm. Pushing off his hood Meredy ran her fingers through his white hair. Mouthes moving in unison, Lyon pushed Meredy against the brick wall, hands at her waist. Breaking of to get some air the two gasped. Lyon, his face glowing, hair tousled, and lips slightly red, panted.

“Woah…That was…unexpected.”

”I’m sorry I-”

She was cut off as Lyon pressed his lips against hers, pushing of her hood his fingers ran through her pink waves to her back, pulling her in close. Lyon let out a soft groan as Meredy began tracing his shoulder blades with her fingertips.

“What is going on here?”

The two jumped apart as if electrocuted.

“Jellal?!” Blushing, she desperately tried to flatten her hair to make it look less disheveled.

“What is happening?”

“N-nothing, I swear!” Meredy cried, get face flushing a dark shade form embarrassment.

Jellal looked as if he were ready to kill Lyon. Lyon looked dazed, as if he hadn’t quite grasped the situation.

A gentle hand landed on Jellal’s shoulder, Erza stepped out form behind him.

“Jellal, calm down.” She told him. “They were just kissing.”

She eyed Meredy and Lyon warily as if to make sure that was all they were doing.

“Th-that’s right!” Meredy cried, “And we were just about to leave.” Throwing on her hood, she grabbed Lyon and ran out of the alleyway.

“He acted like we had been committing a crime.” Lyon muttered.

Meredy laughed, taking his hand in hers.

“Let’s try and make sure that’s the only crime we commit today.” She teased.

Lyon smiled and the two continued their date.

Capes and all.

I’m sorry it sucked >~< I didn’t have much time, I just love this ship and I felt the need to give back. I hope you enjoyed it anyways, and I’ll try and do better tomorrow. If I made any Typos or something just msg me and I’ll gladly fix them. As usual reblogs and comments are appreciated! ^-^

LYREDY WEEKEND DAY: 2 Light/Dark Fanfic

Pairing: Lyredy (what a surprise!)

Theme of today: Light/dark

Summary: There is darkness and brightness in this story (still can’t do summaries)

“Shit!” Lyon cursed quietly, desperately scrambling around the dark hallway, trying to find an unlocked door.

He had been in the boy’s bathroom when the PA system had blared out that the school was now going into full lockdown. Quickly rinsing the soap off his hands he had run out into the hall. All the classroom’s doors had been locked. He knew he was supposed to return to the bathroom and hide in a stall, but he hated being alone.

Panic rising in his throat, Lyon fell to his knees. Being left alone was one of his biggest fears, he felt a panic attack on the rise. Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply, urging his body to relax. He couldn’t have a meltdown with a potential threat in the building, he needed to find a room. Spotting a closet a little ways down the hall.

Standing up slowly, he raced towards it trying the knob. As the knob turned, Lyon sent a silent thank you to whatever Gods were listening and slipped inside. Not bothering to turn on the lights he sat next to the door and curled up. Shaking he slammed his eyes shut, trying to think of anything other than the fact that there was a threat in the building, he was alone, he was in the dark, and that the door did not lock. Placing his head on his knees, Lyon anxiously awaited the sound of the PA telling him it was okay to return to class.

Minutes passed, might’ve been hours, but suddenly the doorknob began turning slowly. Lyon sucked in a sharp breath. Just his luck that the intruder whoever they were, had chosen to check the closet he was in. As a figure slipped inside, Lyon felt his heart rate pick up. It was too dark to make out the face, but judging by the figure Lyon was willing to bet she was female. ‘She’ closed the door behind her and walked into the small space.

The stranger let out a sigh, as if in relief.

Lyon shifted slightly to the left, to not be in her line of sight, but accidentally knocking over a broom. It crashed into several other items, making a loud noise. The intruder squeaked in horror, confirming his suspicions of her being female.

“Who’s there?” She asked, her voice stayed strong, no trace of fear in it. Lyon gulped, what if she was the intruder? Well Lyon had already given away his presence, so he might as well go down with some dignity. Plus, she could just be a girl from school also hiding in the closet.

“H-hey there…”

Kicking himself mentally at how stupid he sounded, Lyon stood up. Or at least he attempted to, but ended up knocking over a shelf and falling back down.

“Oh my gosh are you ok?”  The girl cried quietly, a trace of amusement lacing her voice. Clutching his, now throbbing, head Lyon blinked through the darkness trying to see her face.

“You aren’t the intruder right?” He asked. There was a brief silence.

“No, I’m not.” The confidence in her voice was reassuring but Lyon wanted proof.

“Prove it.” He countered.

Another pause. Then a small pink light light up. The source of the light came from the girl’s bracelet, she moved her arm illuminating her school uniform. Lyon sighed inwardly.

“Your turn.” She said, startling him.

“Huh?” He asked.

“Oh come on…” Lyon could hear her eyes roll.

“You don’t honestly believe that I’m gonna just believe that you’re not lying. I proved it, so now it’s your turn.”

Lyon heard her stepping over objects the small glowing band nearing him. As the girl leaned in to inspect his clothing he caught a glimpse of her face. She was pretty cute, and apparently had pink hair. Though that might’ve been due to the pink lighting. The girl crawled up to him, proceeding to lean over him and place her wrist near his stomach, lighting up his shirt. Lyon blushed at her boldness.

“Satisfied?” He asked.

“Very.” She replied smugly.

“Well, I’m Lyon.” he said to her, extending his hand into the dark.

“Meredy.” She answered.

He felt a hand grasp his, it was soft and warm. Lyon smiled, though he couldn’t see her face, he had began to take a liking to this girl.

“Well Meredy,” He tested out her name, he liked the way it sounded. “I guess we’re gonna be stuck here a while, huh?”

Meredy let out a monotone laugh.

“Yeah, I suppose so.”

I’m sorry everything is bold, my laptop is glutting again. I wanted to make this story longer but honestly I didn’t have much time today, maybe I’ll make a part 2…Depends on how many notes this gets. My goal is to participate in all three days though so expect another fic tomorrow ^-^

Thanks for putting up with me!

And thanks to my wonderful friends whom I couldn’t have done this without.

@lyredy-week end day 2: light/dark

i decided to use both prompts where there’s a light!meredy x dark!lyon (where meredy goes up the mountain to stop the eternal winter caused by queen elsa reitei lyon, who makes it hard for CS to continue fighting dark guilds lmao) & dark!meredy x light!lyon ([based from this art before]…  where meredy is ANGRY at the ones who hurt Ul but after a series of fighting they become sorta like rivals in the end lol)
